| Is it possible.... To show a yorkie that isn't registered and is spayed? I was wondering if there was a catagorie or something to show more for fun and experience than for titles?

| I think that if there isn't there should be! That would be a great way to get people interested in showing and give a little experience to get you going!! |

| I would love to try my hand at showing but I bought Tessa as a pet only. She isn't registered and she is being spayed next week. I think it would be fun to try showing but not in a really competitive way.

| I show horses competitively but we have classes for beginners and people who just want to have fun. It is how I got started. It's also a great way for the more experienced competitors to pass on their knowledge. |

| I don't know of any shows that would allow a non registered, spayed dog to be shown. Some organizations have cute little contests for most beautiful dog, smallest dog and things like that. |

| Great idea! I never thought of that! I will check into our canine club here and see what they have got.

| Rally Obedience is a fun, easy alternative to agility. We did Rally with Loki and it was fun. You have to walk around cones and do sits, stays, and comes. It teaches them to walk next to you and it's really cute to watch Yorkies do it.

| You could enroll in handling classes to learn handling skills. Cat shows allow spayed/neutered cats to show in Premiership instead of Championship..but same rules apply.

| You cant show spayed/unregistered dogs at AKC conformation shows as they are for the judging of breeding stock, and if someone doesnt like that term, dogs that will potentially be used for breeding programs. But you can show spayed dogs in other things such as ralley and obedience. It would be kind of fun to see mock shows that spayed dogs could compete in just for fun!! |

| I have talked to the Canine Club here and along with regular obedience training we will be looking into Flyball training as well. There are mock shows here as well for obedience, conformation, and such. Just for fun. I am looking forward to getting involved in it.

| If you have any children, your dog could be shown in 4-H shows. They have all different competitions.
