i have been searching for a good grooming table with an arm and noose....could you point me in the right direction...thanks

I recently bought a small ring side grooming table at a dog show so if you go to any of the big all breed dog shows you can get them there, otherwise, there are many show supply companies that sell them but shipping is pretty high. Hopefully, someone on here will have some good tips on grooming tables. I know you can order one from Revival Animal Health for about a $100 plus shipping. I got lucky about 3 years ago and bought a like new, full sized grooming table at a garage sale for about $50.

You can take her as long as she's had her shots and maybe just take her to watch and get her use to the sights and sounds of the other dogs and the environment of the handling class.
ok they emailed me back and told me that there is another class starting at the end of April. so I am going to enroll MeiLing into that 6 weeks course. Thanks for all your help.

I'd also find a yorkie show breeder and have her evaluated to see if it's worth spending the money into showing if she's not show potiental or quality. I always make sure of her show potential before putting alot of money into showing, but with saying that classes will help "you" in learning the ropes in exhibiting. I took a less quality bitch to learn to show before I bought a quality show prospect
You are doing the right thing

another question...is it better to show myself or to get a handler?

I hope MeiLing is show quality...her sire Mickey won 2 best in winners this past weekend in Ft. Worth and a few points shy of getting his Ch. title.

When mine was a puppy I use #1 All Systems Super Cleaning and Conditioning Shampoo and then condition with #1 All Systems Super Rich Conditioner. When my male got to be about 6 months old then I started adding All Systems Pure Lanolin with the conditioner, poured that on him and then rinsed. Also for the head and face I used a puppy shampoo. Now, I am not experienced at this so it would be best to get advise from others more experienced. So much depends on your Yorkies coat. I know others have followed advise from different show breeders and really messed up the coat. You have to realize that all coats are different and what works for one might not work for another. The kind of brushes you use are also very important and very expensive. You have plenty of time to research all this. Most puppies just need a bath every one or two weeks and gentle brushing and combing to assure no matting is taking place. Over bathing can damage the coat. Once a dog is in oil then you have to bath every 4 or 5 days. Some breeders never use oil, it all depends on the coat.

right now i use MinkSheen on Tootsie, meiLing and kioko...since their hair is really silky...Yoshi has a more cottony coat so I am still looking for a good shampoo/conditioner for him.

as for the grooming table i found petsmart is offer it right now with free shipping..

should i get a large or small?

large is $99.99 and measures * 30H x 36L x 24W
small is $89.99 and measures * 32H x 30L x 18W

I have the large one that I use at home. I need to get a smaller one to take to shows. It is just a matter of choice. I like the big one for home because I have plenty of room for all my grooming stuff on it.

Yes I saw that in person I would still try and have the pup evaluated with a show breeder.
