| She's pretty. Does she have a black cottony coat? It looks soft in the pictures

Its hard to tell from pictures. She looks nice. I see she has some silver in her topknot, I don't think you would see that with a cottony coat. She looks like she has substance. How much does she weigh? Deana Prestigeous Yorkies

| eyes Her eyes tend to flash a warm yellowish tint which means a touch soft coated...but I am not sure what coat type Mexican judges tend to go for...I think she has potential...work with her coat, good conditioners and lots of grooming, she looks alert, curious, terrier in her spirit, good top line, good size. best of luck |

I havent dealt much with the Soft coated dogs. But I didn't think they would have any silver in the topknot? Or would this coat be a possible modified coat? It is so hard not to be able to put your hands on the coat , when I blew the pic up the coat on the headfall does look thicker like a soft coat. Deana Prestigeous Yorkies

| thanks for your comments! From the beginning, I have been trying to figure out Gypsy's coat. It is very abundant, so abundant that she looks heavier than she really is. Today at 8 months and 8 days, she weighs 6 lbs and 0.25 ounces, she does have substance! but not too much Her color is already breaking, you can see a picture here, it has broken near the front legs, in her head, in her tummy and in her rump. Also I'm noticing that her back is begining to look silver in the roots. Also she has been losing hair, when I brush her, the brush has lots of hair. So I still wonder what kind of coat she has, I'm complete novate, but I see other yorkies with a less abundant coat, and I wonder. How does a modified coat look/feel like? Let me know what you think, I'm attaching another picture regards

| From the lack of sheen and the way that the hair lays I would say that it is on the softer side. Is the coat cool to the touch even if she has been in the sun? Does each hair seem to lay back down individually when she shakes? It may be hard to tell until the puppy coat has grown out a bit more.
