| Bred By Class I was under the impression that they had to be a certain age to be entered in the Bred By Class (AKC shows, btw). I'm getting ready to enter another show and I would really like to put Bingo in bred by. I can't find anything on age restrictions. So I thought I would ask here! Are there any age restrictions to entering the Bred By Class?

| Age restrictions in bred by or any class...no younger than 6 months of age. Puppy dog/bitch must be 6 months of age at the day of the show or older to compete in any class in AKC. hope this helps good luck

| If you take a dog to Championship entirely from the Bred By Class you will automatically be invited to Euckanuba

| Thank you! And gosh darnit... I wish I had known this when I first started showing my boy. He has one point now, so I can't completely finish him in the Bred By class.

| I haven't ever shown him in a puppy class. I've always shown him in American Bred.

| I've never shown American Bred...I've always shown puppy, bred by or open and breed LOL...I think the only reason I'd show Am Bred is if I had two dogs the same sex and had to take both in lol not sure I could handle that tho lol |

| The main reason that I showed Bingo American Bred is because he didn't look like a puppy. He grew fast and then stopped. Next to other dogs his age, he looked huge. He's only been in 3 shows though. My first 3 shows as well. I've got a lot to learn. I'm very proud to show him in Bred By. I just thought he was too young!

| I have a puppy bitch that if I had chose to keep would have been too big for the puppy class but I chose to place her into a pet home. She's 6 pounds at 6 months and has stopped growing. I had to make a choice and chose to keep the smaller one but I could have kept both for the show ring. I hope once again I didn't make the wrong choice LOL |

| I hear ya there. I really contemplated on wether I was doing the right thing with Bingo. I was so scared of him growing so fast. I'm thrilled that I kept him though. He's topped out at 6 lbs. and has such great body.

| I like both girls but one I thought was going to be too big but maybe not if I held on to her and just showed her from the bred by and then the little one I hope grows lol |

| I would definitely rather they be on the larger side than the too small side!

| Well this little bitch reminds me so much of her mother and her mother was great in the show ring...she was the #1 yorkie bitch in breed in the US in 2005 and #6 yorkie breed in 05. This little girl has her same body structure and so I'm hoping she'll get the weight of her mother. The mother is short and cobby! |

| Maybe she'll be a late bloomer? I'd love to see a picture of her if you get a chance. Do you ever come up and show in the MO area?
