The cars everyone drives to shows just depends on what works to carry their supplies, dogs etc. There is no right or wrong, we all have the choice of what we like best and carries our cargo the best.
We were just looking at cars and crossovers this past week and I told the sales man (he was actually a very young man had only been there one month)
I was impressed with the fact he listened to what I was saying about space for my crates. I just so happened to have a bigger crate with me than I ever have. He came to me and said are you sure your crates will fit in this crossover you are looking at. VBG he impressed me for the fact he was indeed listening to what I said I needed and was keeping that in mind.
Some don't really listen to our needs they just want to sell a car.
We didn't make a decision that day, because I keep thinking IF I ever have to evacuate etc. I need a BIG RIDE
Also we do take some people with us from time to time to shows and its nice to have that extra space.
But the gas mileage has made us consider what IF we could go smaller.
I am sure I would rather keep the SUV myself.
But we will see.

Yep, the gas prices are bad... My hubby may win this battle if it means I can continue to go to the shows... I'm just not sure that I can fit everything that I take into a smaller vehicle, but I will make it work... If anything, I'm dedicated... LOL...

I have looked into the hybrids and the salesmen (several) have stated that they don't really benefit for highway driving are are best used for big city driving...

What I have found is they are charging so much more for the hybrids that there goes your gas savings in paying more for the hybrid. Thats when I started thinking just keep the one we have.. lol and deal with it.

We have such a large family that seating was a huge priority for us. We ended up with a Honda Pilot. It has fabulous gas mileage and when we go to shows all the seats fold down and there's TONS of space. I absolutely love it!

Hey, lady. Is Tanya coming to VA Beach? I am not sure if I am coming now. The Deucester got 2 more points last weekend. I am entered in Savannah and Winston. If he finishes, I won't have a dog to show. I may be begging you to let me show Conner. I need to call Glenda ASAP and have her send me something to show. I guess I will enter the Maltese and sit sadly at ringside and watch you guys.

I bought a trolley that has 2 built in crates (side by side) and a grooming table on top. It is nice but too big for my needs. If someone wants to buy it, I will give a good deal. Here is the link http://www.hydrogroom.com/dogshow.html.

I have started using aluminum camping tables at ring side and it has made my life so much easier. I can carry 3 of them in one hand.

Tanya has a scheduling conflict so she's not sure if she's coming. I entered Connor on both days and Carly for Sat., Danali for Sun. Don't call Glenda yet, I have something I'd like you to take a look at. I sure hope you come, I entered the gals so that you could see them in the ring. I'll even buy you dinner!

I like the hydo-groom. But for now my hubby made our cart. It carries everything to site and then we can set up the table on the cart with 2 carriers/crates and all and move it around if needed. Here are some photos of it. It is super easy to pull and goes through sand too! The pictures only show one carrier on it for now.
