I haven't been able to ask him anything...... he's so busy this week and next he's on vacation. Dr. Coons will be seeing mine next week. The practice has gotten so busy that it's a pain to have to wait so long for an appt and I absolutely refuse to see the other vet who's there.

Have gotten calls that the same place we got Lily from has 3 yorkie boys needing homes. I wish someone would adopt them! They need to be out of there! I've heard that they are planning on moving out of state soon...... I think the heat is on!

I know what you mean about Dr. Marquis, i hope he is the one doing the surgery on all my boys. Their surgery is on the 12th. I will be really bummed if Dr. Coons is the surgeon, i have never used him, and i know he is nice, i just love Dr. Marquis as you never even see the stitches, and after a spay, the little girl is just fine! He is well worth the trip to have anything done.

Boy are sometimes so hard to place, i will put them in my prayers for a home of their own, that is permament, were they will live with lots of TLC, all yorkies so deserve that.

Betty used to see Dr. Coons and she just loves him! From everything I've heard he's really good, too. I have an appt on the 13th and it's with him. Id' think you'd be seeing him too, because Bob is on vacation then. We'll both get a chance to see if we like him. If Lily weighs enough he'll spay her the following day ... Just my luck she'll go into heat between now and then!

Awww, thanks, I wish you were closer too........ we need to get them out of there. A girl who adopted one of the 4 said, one is so skinny it's frightening. She said she didn't realize a dog could be that thin and still alive.

Thanks for Caring.

Tiara Rado is where I always took Toto while we were in GJ too! Dr. Coons was Toto's dogter and he adored her. He is wonderful with the little ones ... always wanted Toto to go to his house!! Toto loved him ... he always went over her with a fine tooth comb, even if she was only there for a "flight certificate"!

Trish and I are trying to work out details for getting those pitiful little boys out of that awful place. It's really gonna overload her to foster them, but we are trying to come up with other foster homes .... everyone is just so busy right now. We'll find a way!!

Thank you so much for reasuring me about Dr. Coons, I always liked him, he just had never seen any of my babies. He sounds as great as Dr. Marquis, i know he has been there a really long time.

I wish i could help with the fostering, but i have new puppies right now, and not an ounce of room. I will check with one of my rescue friends and she if she has any room or foster parents, do you know the size and breed of the boys in need?

You're very welcome! I think you will like him and the care he gives your babies. When we first moved to GJ, I was still bringing Toto to her vet here in AL when we would fly home!! I couldn't bear the thought of any vet except our Dr. Lucy doing anything to her! Then she had a problem and I couldn't get home with her and that's when I first met Dr. Coons and he was smitten by Toto and she with him.

Thank you so much .... it means a lot just knowing that you would if you could! Yes, they are little Yorkie boys and from what we understand, they are small. Poor little guys ... also, we were told that they aren't neutered, but if we can get them they will be.

That poor little dog. How hard is it to feed a dog her size? She probably only eats a few hand fulls a food each day. This rescue organization is just as bad as who ever the rescued her from. I have tears in my eyes as I right this. Some people are not worthy of the blessing that is pet ownership.

Thanks, Mike! That's why I can't understand why any Yorkie should be undernourished!! The cost to feed our Toto is the cheapest expense that we have!! The heartbreak that you feel to see one like Lily begin to get good food is almost more than you can bear. They are so hungry that if you let them eat all they want, it would make them sick! I'm sorry ... didn't mean to get on my soapbox!! I'm happy to report that this little girl is thriving!

Default Good News!

In spte of the fact that I hate to put money in this rescues pocket. I have contacted many people and have asked them to please help get these little boys to a safe, loving home. Two have been adopted. I just got a call from another wonderful person who told me she had called them and is going there tomorrow to adopt the two remaining yorkies. So, we've gotten those four out. Now I wonder how many more she will get to neglect. But ....... for the wonderful people who have stepped up! They've saved four innocent little lives and I'm sure will be rewarded for it! Thank you all for caring

I will be posting, or Betty will, I don't know how, new pics of Lily soon.
