| Yorkie Available In Ca, Special Needs hello all i have an adorable girl yorkie that i actually rehomes from a local lady who had gotten her and rescued her from a local puppy mill, while she is adorable I cannot keep her, she is really really fragel, she isnt sickly and she gets aorund but frankie is just to much for her, she is 18 months old, she was born 10-15-05, she is beautiful markings, i mean beautiful coloring, she really needs loving care and lots of attention, she is really really skiddish only beause she really hasnt been adapted any where and she has lived most of her life in a kennel i was told, now here is the sad part, she has had a bokne leg or joint or something of some sort, her leg is there but it seems to be twisted, or healed inproperly, she hops on three legs, and the lady who rehomes her with me gave me a vet sheet i guess to take her from kansas to here in cali and it says bed knees but if you feel around it it feels like it has been broken but healed wrong, she gets around really good and honestly i didnt see her having much trouble at all, she moves a littel slower of course and frankie being the young pup he is, he is all over her and she really doesnt like it, i have added picures of her leg, she really is beautiful and has a nice silky coat, i would love to see her taken by a somwhat local yorkie family as i know most of you dont live near me, but maybe an older yorkie home, she was fine around the kids, she did not bite or snap but she was skiddih since she doesnt like loud noises, she really is a great dog if you dont mind her leg, i dont mind her leg only if frankie was older or more settled down, she slept all night right next to me, and she peed on her pee pad in the bathroom, i really would like for her to be homes soon and stay in that home, please if you feel you can care for her, please pm me or reply i would love to see her happy and right now frankie is bothering her to the point of locking him in his kennel, i can travel but not very far though, i am in wasco around bakersfield, and i know a few of you on her were looking for females in california but she really needs to go to a knowledgable yorkie person who can work with her, please though i really would like to rehome her asap nothing wrong i just want to see her happy please look at the pics and let me know guys there is no charge for her, and she has some papers stating she was registered with american dog registry and she has had her rabies shots, etc please let me know thanks the pics are from my camera phone so they maybe blurry but she is beautiful though one is og her face the second is of her leg, and how she stands teh third is her side profile and she is very very skinny she is smaller than frankie but alot so she is tiny

| Steph, please make sure she goes to someone who will take her to see about having surgery on her knees. I wish I could take her. She looks so sad. |

| Steph, I think this lettle girl is so stressed from her ugly pass, consider a quite home with no alot of activity. You mentioned kids make her skittish. If it were me I would look for a home without those added stress for her. Poor thing. Also , please make sure the person is willing to have her checked out and be prepared for the added exspense, if surgery is an option for her. Pm me if you need me. |

| Steph. It's great that you got her out of there. You may want to consider surrendering her to a good Yorkie Rescue. A reputable one. They will pay to have her leg fixed and they will put her in a foster home where she can be rehabilitated. WWW.Puppymillrescue.com works ONLY with puppymill rescues. They do wonders from what I've seen. I don't know them that well, but they have been on television specials. The owner is from NJ. You could contact them or maybe someone here has another rescue they'd reccomend to you. It's really better to place her in a rescue as they will do all the vetting and have her fixed up before going to her forever home, PLUS they can screen better then you or I could. Elaine |

| shes actually a rescue of www.puppymillrescue.com shes from kansas and a lady from bakersfield went to kansas and got her becuase she is an active member of puppymill resuce thats why i was saying her leg is how its going to be there reallyis not fixing it its some kind of derformative leg they have checked her out, but yes she is from that rescue she has been resuced from the mill in kansas but her leg isnt broken right now , it has been either defective or broken or her living conditions you know but yes she has been checked by them and vets and she reallyjusthas to live with it, i mean my vet said sometimes it can be amputated but thats a cosmetic thing in his eyes mainly meaning its if it bugs her or us it doesn seem to bug her though, she was in a rescue and then to me but instaed of putting her through so much stress and such at my house i thought someone on her would love to take her in but it seems like more want to fix her leg but i think i cannot be fixed, its something special that comes with her. i would love to keep her and frankie may calm down, time will tell but time could also tell of her getting really irritated. we will see

| To me it sounds like the same problem with her leg as what poor little Gwen has, but I hope it can be fixed. I agree she needs a home with someone that has not a very active life someone older maybe an dsomeone that can take on the vet care that she may need. good luck finding that wonderful person for her. shes in my prayers. |

im sure if i called them they would but where she came from is kansas and i would rather find a home for her, than take her back to a kennel to live in lke she has been living for a year and a half. and yes that was my way of seeing it abotu her leg, i thought it had been broke and then i pulled out her paperwork and it had said a d word and then congenital or cong but another member said conegnital and said yes thats whatthey said, and her brother came back from kansas withthe same lady and his name was on the vet cert also and he had the same wrote under his diag so i am assuming it was either the way they were born or something they aquired while being in the puppy mill but i mean she isnt high maitenece and she isnt like special special need i mean she gets around fine she found her potty pad and food fine she follows me around fine i just want her to have the kind of home she needs, frankies has always been a little lightening bolt though and he picks on the cats the same way but they can run and jump and hide but she cant, she really can live with hit and fulfill her daily needs just fine, she just cant jump, which makes its a small plus because she wont pull a frankie and do a superman off the back of teh couch and she knows she cant. really she needs someone who will not care about her leg, and someone who can take her to the vet, she isnt nasty, she isnt dirty, i gave her a bath and let her sleep on my bed, she isnt dirty, i checked her for fleas and the lady before me that had her said she had a treatment the beginning of april for the flea medicine. she didnt appear to haev fleas and she had beautiful coat that can only be made more beautuifl with love and the right food.
