| New Yorkie Rescue .... Surprise!!! We haven't even decided on the name yet ... but ... there are soooo many Yorkies out there suffering and abused, we didn't necessarily choose to do this, it just kinda chose us!! My friend, Trish, and I have started our own Rescue. We are kinda leaning towards "Twice Loved Yorkies". She knows Yorkies inside/out and I just love 'em and want to help! After Patrick and I started out on our nightmare trip home, this little guy came to Trish as our very first surprise rescue! As everyone knows, sometimes you don't make a choice ... circumstances just kinda choose you!! Little Bear was just there, ready or not ... he had a desperate need and we were his hope. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting him yet, but can hardly wait. I hope I am doing this correctly and if I am not, will welcome a well deserved smack on the head from Admin!! Here is his Ad: Breed: Yorkshire Terrier/Yorkie Fee: $300 [covers expenses for vet, etc.] Name: Frankie [We call him Bear because that's what he looks like!] Location: Grand Junction, CO Sex: Male Frankie's reward for siring many puppies, making lots of money for his owner's and being a loving companion was to be left without food and water in an abandoned house outside of Denver. He deserves so much more!!! He's been neutered, and is up to date on all his shots. If you would like more information about Frankie or rescued Yorkies in Colorado, please contact me.Age: about 8 or 9 years old Description: Precious little 5 pound boy, sweet, friendly, gets along with other small animals. Potty trained. Perfect companion. How did this tiny creature end up in rescue? Contact: Trish Rose Phone: (970) 243-0559 PLEASE SPAY OR NEUTER ALL YOUR PETS!!! [Now ... after many, many updates from Trish, I have learned this about little Bear!! He came to her soooo dirty, matted and had so many burrs, his beautiful hair had to be cut off and it's already growing out. He runs and plays with the other Yorkies [Trish's Yorkies] like he is a pup again. He also came to her hungry ... not any more! He eats like a little piglet! She feeds her "Pack" Force from The Honest Kitchen and he loves it. He's a little snuggle bug and will cuddle on your lap as well as walk with you on his leash. It's as if it's the first time he ever knew there were soooo many things to discover! He just really needs a good home as soon as possible. He is soooo happy and we don't want him to be sad when he goes to his forever home, he's had enough. We believe that he will transition nicely, he's such a great little guy!! ]

| Bettyanne your so wonderful to get involved in helping save these precious little ones. Bear looks like he is smiling. Probably for finally getting his forever home and someone to give him some hugs and loving. Good luck to you and your friend in your new venture. Hope Patrick is doing well now. |

| Thanks Kellie!! He looks like such a little sweetheart .... can't wait to get there and get my hands on him! I wish you were closer .... we have wanted to do this for so long and the little ones need so much! Thanks Carol! He does look like he's smiling! Probably because he just moved in and took right over! He's so sweet, you can't help but love him! Patrick is much better, thank you ever so much for asking. He still has a long way to go, but seems to feel better every day.

| Update on "Bear" .... This little fella evidently has been so starved for TLC and attention ... he has settled right in and is sooooo smart! He quickly learned the doggy door, eats like a little piglet, wants to sleep in bed with a human and has just learned to sing! I have only gotten to hear him over the phone but it's the cutest thing I have ever heard! He has an odd little voice [almost as if someone at some point possibly tried to "debark" him] but it sounds so sweet. Heather sings to him and he just joins right in!!

| Thanks Angi & Cindy! My friend Trish has taught me so much about rescue. In the past two years I have witnessed miracles with the little ones she has fostered. It's amazing what a little love and tons of patience can do for these little throw aways. They come to her so sad, scared and alone .... just pretty much hiding in their little shells. They don't stay that way long! The first time you feel that timid little nose touching your hand and that little one crawl onto you lap, it will bring tears to your eyes. When they finally go to their forever home they make you cry again .... happy tears! We're still trying to get everything together, website, etc., made more difficult because I will now be at home in Alabama for quite a while. We can do this at a distance but it won't be easy!

| Update .... We will be leaving Colorado, probably this coming Monday. If anyone would like to give our little "Bear" a forever home, we would love to bring him to you. Our route will be: Parachute, CO to Moab, UT, Gallup, NM, Santa Rosa, NM, Elk City, OK, Sallisaw, OK, Brinkley, AR, Tupelo, MS, and finally, Anniston, AL! If there is anyone along this route who would like to give this wonderful, loving little fella a forever home, just contact Trish. We would really like to bring him to you if you are anywhere along this route. He is such a great little guy and his little personality is just really beginning to surface ... he just needs someone to love. What a rotten life he has had and he is such a little cuddlebug .... loves to play with other Yorkies just like a puppy, as well as snuggle on your lap! Just let us know!! </IMG>
