| 3 1/2 pound 9 year old yorkie for adoption in NC This is so sad! Poor little girl! http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/...?petid=7413251 Abby - NC Dog Yorkie Haven Rescue, Inc. - NC sastockner@yadtel.net Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie Size: Small Age: Adult Gender: Female ID: Notes: COURTESY POSTING - Fostered in NC Update 12/28/06: The vet said Abby was doing well now and said she could have the surgery. She has been spayed and her bad tooth removed. The surgery went well and she is doing really great. Now all she needs is a loving and caring home to call her own. If you can give this little angel a forever loving home, please fill out an adoption application (click the link below). Please note that we do not ship any of our pups. Thank you to everyone who has kept this little girl in their thoughts and prayers. Original Biography: Abby is a very sweet 3 1/2 lb. nine year-old little yorkie girl. Her elderly owners brought her and a 12 year-old Maltese to the vet to be put to sleep. Luckily two very caring assistants at the vet's office checked the medical charts and saw there were no health problems with these two pups other than they were getting older, and the yorkie was blind. They were such sweet babies that the vet assistants couldn't see them getting put to sleep, so they checked with the owners, who surrendered the pups to the vet assistants. The vet assistants found a home for the Maltese, and are still looking for a wonderful home for tiny Abby, so they contacted Yorkie Haven Rescue to help - which we are glad to do. We all think this little baby deserves the best from here on out. So here is some more information about this little girl, and if you think you can give her a wonderful home, please click the link below to fill out an adoption application. Abby is blind, but she doesn't let that slow her down much. Abby has only one tooth, so she eats soft food, and has no trouble eating at all! (The vet said surgery to remove the one bad tooth was too risky at her age and size, but she will get along fine with her tooth as-is.) Abby is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm-free, and on heartworm prevention. She loves to go outside on warm sunny days - she will follow your voice and go all over the place! Abby is so little and sooo cute! Abby will use paper or puppy pads when confined in a small area (such as the bathroom). Abby just loves to be in the same room with people. She is not a real cuddler, but wants to be near humans. She has some of the cutest expressions you've ever seen. Abby needs a home with someone who has time to spend with her and treat her like the little princess she is. She likes to go for car rides and go places with you! Please fill out an adoption application (link below) for Abby if you think you can give her the love and caring home she needs. We know she will give you lots of love in return. Thank you! ****************************** |

| Does nine years old really qualify as "older". And blind and toothless? My babies are going to have rich full lives longer than that aren't they?

| yorkie rescue Great thing about yorkie rescues is that the yorkies have forever homes with the fosters if necessary.. Can't tell you how many "unadoptables" the foster homes at YTNR have adopted. Roxanne in NC |
