| Can I take them all? May be this should be stuck on the Yorkies for sale and wanted section. That way all those people looking for cheap Yorkies can adopt one that needs a home.

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | I sure do wish that I could just scoop them all up and bring each and every single one of them home with me They are ALL little lovers...but Radar, Carmine (already adopted! YEAH!!! ), and Aaliyah (I would soooo LOVE to have her!!!) just touched my heart!! What sweet little faces they have And am I the only one here that thinks Otis and Brownie (browniesmom622 on YT) could be TWINS???? (If Otis had longer hair of course...) Their eyes are sooo much alike!!!

| Hi Steph. If you keep watching the classified section of your local newspaper you may find the right Yorkie. Look especially in January, February and March, this is when all the people that bought Christmas babies on a whim and find they are more work then they thought, place their pups. I live in Jersey and just saw in our classifieds someone giving away for free Moluccan Cockatoo w/ cage - very sweet just loud. This is what I mean. FREE the cost of this Too is in the $2,000 or more range plus another grand for the cage People don't think, they buy and then dispose of. Makes me angry Keep looking in the paper and on PetFinder. Keep your spirits up and keep fighting the Cancer. I was diagnosed a year ago w/ Chronic Leukemia. You'll get through it. Elaine |

| P.S. Steph. You may want to consider a mix that has a lot of Yorkie in him or her - I have a Morkie and she is just beautiful and I have a Yorkie Poo (Rescue) who is also beautiful and a big love. A mix will still need a lot of love and care and will make a great companion. By the way, my two Yorkies and my Yorkie Poo are all rescues. Tia my Morkie I got out of the newspaper. The woman bought her, paid a lot for her, had her spayed and decided she didn't want her and sold her for a fraction of what she paid. Tia is beautiful. Elaine P.S. Tia is the picture on my avatar. She's 1/2 Maltese and 1/2 Yorkie which = a Morkie |

| It makes me sad to see that most of the yorkies that need rescuing are the ones 7 pounds and over. Did people really just get a yorkie because they wanted a small little purse dog? It's not the fault of these beautiful puppies that people don't know the standard for yorkies! I wish I could home all of them.

| hello eveyone its been a while since i have gotten to get out here . my name is jennifer and i have two male yorkies that are my precious babies... their names are bullet and shotgun.... bullet weighs about maybe 5-6 pds and shotgun would be lucky to weigh 2 pds soak and wet...but shotgun seems nervous and edgy toward folks. i mean bullet is happy go lucky and pounces around and wants love from everyone shotgun on the other hand when someone starts to pet him even me and my husband will bow down to the floor and he will pee were ever he bows down wheather he is on the floor or someones lap. and also if he is picked up by some one he will pee on them sometimes.. we have had them both from birth so i know no one has ever been mean to him to make him scared. i guess i am wanting suggestions on what is causing him to do this and if there is something i can do about it. also if there is any suggestions about what i can do to get him to quit peeing on the floor and people when he is nervous. i love my dogs so much and i just want to know what makes him that way and if it is anything i might be doing wrong, now if i am sitting around and he gets in my lap on his on he is fine no problem and he loves to be petted.if anyone has any info please let me know.. thanks jen |

| Very good point I was reading something on the Bichon Frise and saw a comment that said most Bichon Frise are 11-22 #s and not toy lap dogs. I know Yorkies usually don't get that big, but sometimes wonder if there shouldn't be something somewhere that says although the standard for Yorkies is less than 7#, there are probably more Yorkies that are larger than 7#. I think it might be helpful for those who are unaware that the pup they get may well be larger than they expected. I am not for changing the standard because I want a toy dog but do understand that many pet owners are disappointed when their pup grows larger than they expected. Have we done a poll on what size our dogs are? If not, it might be interesting to know if the standard is the norm on YT> Quote:

| They are all beautiful but especially Radar. I just want to cuddle him and kiss him all day. The poor boy looks like he's seen some rough times (he was on death row at the pound). Poor baby.
