Attention Richmond Virginia yt... Okay i m not sure if i can post this or not. but the rescue group i work w/ ( we never have yorkies or other small dogs) is having to close the kennel that holds 40 dogs that need foster homes until adopted. we are still open, but cant afford the kennel anymore. if some one is interested or knows someone would be interested in fostering, please let me know. Thank you for your time!

There is a woman in Ashland/Doswell,Va area that runs a private rescue. If you call the animal control in that city I know that they know her very well. Unfortunately the veterinarian that I used to volunteer with left the area and I have no recollection of the ladys name. If she is not able to take them herself I would imagine she can put you in touch with people who can. If I can find out her name I will let you know. Good Luck.. I am sorry that you have to close the kennel. I would also try your area vets and see if they might know of someone that fosters, there are quite a few rescues in our area.

I figured you probably already knew her. If I hear anything else I will let you know. I have a friend that does Search and Rescue, maybe she knows someone further up north. I will call and ask her today.
