| Do you think it's because they are being bred for their tiny size that liver shunt has a chance to take hold? or is it just bad breeding? It seems that they are so cute that *some* care is being taken in breeding...so sad...she would make such a great girlfriend for Buddy! |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | She is so cute. Do any of these Rescue's let a person adopt them if they take full financial responsibilty for medical expenses? I am just curious as I would not have a problem adopting a puppy that needed medical care.

| I don't even know what Liver Shunt is?? All I know is that it's bad. I doubt they would let you adobt assuming all medical expenses.. I think the point of rescuing is to "fix them" then find them good homes. I hope that doesn't sound bad.. But that is my impression |

| I was wondering about liver shunt myself as I'm not really educated on the problem. Is it something that is totally curable or is there a chance that it will come back? Does the dog live a long, healthy life after it's been fixed or is their life shortened because of it? Does it take special care and diet for a dog that has had one repaired? Are there other medical issues involved because of/connected with the shunt? |

| Being very close to Mass., I always check the Yorkie rescue site (www.yorkiesinc.com). I was reading about Bindi - she is just an absolute doll. I'm actually thinking about talking to my hubbie about her and possibly submitting an adoption application. I've thought alot about getting a 2nd Yorkie and think Jaxon would love a full time playmate. I know Bindi would need a lot of TLC and think we could give her a great home.
