Default Looking to re-home 4 Yorkshire Terriers (Seattle)

We are looking to re-home our 4 Yorkshires to a loving home. We would like if they could go together or in pairs, however we do understand that they may need to be re-homed individually. They are a family; Mom, Dad and 2 boys. All are house trained and crate trained.

Daisy - 8 years old (8 lbs) - very loving caring lap dog, enjoys playing and being lazy. She loves getting in laps and licking; very quiet and gentle.

Beckham - 7 years old (13 lbs) - obedient and knows how to fetch, will bring toys on command, usually follows a male human around, knows a few normal tricks

Asher - 6 years old (14 lbs) - has Daisy's loving personality and is a great cuddler, he plays fetch and very attentive whenever spoken to. Listens very well. He's allergic to grains so we keep all their treats and food grain free.

Toby - 6 years old (8 lbs) - very smart obediant and well mannered dog. He loves to hold toys in his mouth all day; he will cuddle but enjoys playing with anyone around.

Please feel free to message me on the forums if you are interested or know of a kind person that would enjoy the company of the pups.

Thank you!

Without disclosing personal details, can you tell why you are rehoming them? Have you considered a REPUTABLE RESCUE?
They are all gorgeous!

Oh, they are precious. I do hope you can keep the pack together somehow, although that is a lot for someone to take on.

Lynzy,

We would consider a reputable Yorkshire Rescue place and are filling out paperwork tonight for YTNR, however it would be nice to have some other resources reputable resources. The reason we were looking to re-home them ourselves was to find people that could take multiple rather than just 1 at a time, I was unsure if rescues would do such a thing. If you have advice feel free to leave a link for a reputable rescue. Thanks!!

Regarding our decision; my current job has transformed into a position where I am either relocating (6 months at a time) or on temporary assignments overseas/domestically for 2-3 weeks a month. For example I was relocated to Australia for a temp 3 month assignment that turned into 6 months.

Default dog

If I lived in Seattle, I would get all four. They are adorable. Yorkies like that are so hard to find. I hope a really good dog loving person gives these precious dogs a good home. I would be extremely picky who gets these Yorkies. Please choose wisely, they deserve the best.

They all are just beautiful babies. They will be so heart broken if they are separated. I know they will adjust after several months, it's just the thought. I will keep these lil babies in my prayers that someone will take all 4.

Our thoughts exactly, as a young couple we have had the family as a unit for 8 years. Unfortunatley with my career transition it affords us little choice; we are attempting to rehome all 4 of them together however we would settle for pairs with the owners willing to know eachother. We are heart broken as well but know there are good owners out there than can give them a great home.

If anyone in the Pacific Northwest knows a Yorkshire specific shelter that is willing to try and re-home all 4 or them in pairs we would consider it, however they must be as picky or pickier than we are...

I hope these babies find a home...it really breaks my heart to think of them being a family for so long, and now being torn apart.

I know you said you "have little choice" - but we always do have a choice as to what we put first in our lives. I wish you the best of luck and can only hope these precious babies will be okay in the end and will somehow find a good home.

Update: We have interviewed a few families however still have not found a proper home for them in pairs. We are putting families that are considering all 4 first in line; then moving to families who want pairs. They will not be split up any further than that.

More info on how we plan to re-home them and also more info on the pups in general:

Daisy - 8 years old (8 lbs) - Female - silver, Black and gold - very loving caring lap dog, enjoys playing and being lazy. She loves getting in laps and licking; very quiet and gentle. Daisy is a sun dog, we are from Texas and that is where we got Daisy. If the sun is out, she will find a sun spot in the house and lay there for hours. She loves the heat, when we turn the heater on during the winter months, you can always find her laying right next to it within 5 minutes.

Beckham - 7 years old (13 lbs) - Male - Silver and Gold - obedient and knows how to fetch, will bring toys on command, usually follows a male human around, knows a few normal tricks such as sit, stay, lay down, down/off, high five and up. Beckham is very gentle and attentive. He is wary of strangers and other dogs at first but warms up a little with time. He was always a little follower, following us around the house all day long. He loves to play fetch and he is a great dog for walks.

Asher - 6 years old (14 lbs) - Black and gold - has Daisy's loving personality and is a great cuddler, he plays fetch and very attentive whenever spoken to. Listens very well. He's allergic to grains so we keep all their treats and food grain free. Asher bear looks exactly like a teddy bear and his hair makes him look very fluffy. He loves to cuddle with you in bed or on the sofa even if you aren't petting him. When he gets excited he often hops around like a bunny rabbit.

Toby - 6 years old (8 lbs) - Silver, black and Gold - very smart obedient and well-mannered dog. He loves to hold toys in his mouth all day; he will cuddle but enjoys playing with anyone around. Toby can play for hours. He loves when we throw the ball but he doesn't really like bringing it back to you. He usually picks it up and holds it in his mouth. He is a cuddler at times but usually he is laying around with his toys or cuddling with another dog. On sunny days, Toby can often be found lying in the sun spots around the house.

Daisy and Beckham have grown up together. They sleep together in the same kennel every day since we had Beckham. Beckham would be lost without Daisy and misses her when she is not around. Daisy is pretty independent because she spent a little over a year of her life as an only dog but she now is always found cuddling and playing with the other dogs now. We would like them to go together.

Asher and Toby have been together since birth. They sleep together in the same kennel every day since they were born. They have never been apart for longer than a day or two. They are brothers and we would like for them to go together.

Please contact via email if you are seriously considering adopting. We will be quite picky as we want them to go to a good home and want families who will update us every once in a while. Just because we are re-homing them does not mean we do not love them and care for them. If you are not interested in adopting 2 or all 4, please do not email.

To all wanting an update, daisy beckham Toby and Asher all went to a loving great family. We spent a lot of time with this family and they even came to visit us so we could see the pups one last time. We felt so safe and secure, the pups weren't even sad to leave in their car after a fun play date. Thanks all.

Wow, I'm so glad that there was a happy ending to all this, I never thought you'd be able to find a home to take all four. Good, for you for taking the time to find the right home for them, I know this probably broke you heart and you can feel proud doing the right thing by them.

That is fantastic, I am so happy for the pups and for both families involved.
