| Several Yorkies available for adoption I visit the ATL pet rescue site often and noticed a lot of yorkie pups up for adoption. You guys might want to look at it. Here is the link.. Toy Dogs - Atlanta Pet Rescue & Adoption Scroll towards the bottom. Apparently a breeder had to have surgery and could not care for the pups and instead of selling them to a store, she would rather have them adopted out. FYI - I am not affiliated in any way the breeder or Atl Pet rescue. |

| Oh my gosh! If dh would only let me I would be flying to Atlanta to adopt those puppies! What cuties. At least I know they will go quickly! $350.00 for a healthy purebred yorkie puppy, can you imagine? |

| OMG they are all adorable, but my favorite is Jasper. I wish I could handle another one

| I just wrote to inquire about Jellybean or Jasper, I think we are ready for Sophie Kate to have a brother. The one thing I am worried about is Nine weeks seems so young. If things work out you will see a lot of post from me on Yorkie Talk asking questions.

| Good luck! I know 9 weeks is young, but from what they've posted about the breeder having surgery and unable to care for them probably contributed to her having to give them up so young. |

| Thanks, I think you are right and I commend the breeder for giving them up to a rescue so they wouldn't end up in a pet store or with a broker. I like the two boys and I hope I can meet them and see them both. I know Sophie Kate would love a Brother, she loves other dogs and sometimes the cat just does not want to play with her. I am on my way to my Vet to pick up some Comfortis and Heart Guard, I need to show them the pictures and tell to be ready.. maybe...hopefully. Thank you for posting that link, I watch the rescue forum everyday just waiting for the right little guy to come along.

| I look at that site almost daily. I couldn't believe how many Yorkie pups were up. I had to post. I hope Sophie Kate gets her a little brother soon! |

| I received an email from the rescue today, all the puppies have been adopted or have an "appointment" with prospective adopters. That part about them being adopted makes me happy. Oh well, I will continue on in my search to find a brother for Sophie Kate. I am determined to find her brother from a rescue and I will know him when I see him. Thank you again for posting the link.

| Oh, I feel so bad for Daisy. Poor girl looks a mess and she's only 3.

| I just went and looked at her profile, Daisy is so cute I hope they find a home for her. I don't have a lot of experience with the rescue but it sure seems like they have good luck finding homes for their dogs since every one I have written them about has been adopted. I will say prayer for Miss Daisy tonight, she sounds like a real character who has had a tough start in life.

| Oh my god! Little miss Coral stole my heart! If only I could go get her. I have practice with the real shy ones, ask Kaji. He thinks I'm a good mommy.

| I just wanted to say that I really respect people that work with rescues and the people that rescue these animals. I generally try not to look at the websites because I usually end up bawling at the hard life of these innocents who deserve such wonderful homes.

| Does anyone have any experience with this rescue? There's a dog that I am absolutely in love with... BUT I live in NJ. From the sound of it, they only adopt to the immediate area. Does anyone think they may make an exception? I called and left a message. I'm waiting to hear back. |

| Yes, most of the dogs go pretty fast which makes me so happy. The stories get to me too sometimes. I'm sorry you did not get to adopt a little brother for Sophie Kate. I look at this almost daily, if they have any more show up, I will post a link. I have never adopted through them myself, but I'm thinking I more than likely will if I ever want another dog. Not sure if they adopt from out of state. I imagine if the dog is there awhile they may consider it. At least I hope they would. |

| I hope so, too, Foxy. I don't think she'll be there for a while... it's the chihuahua mix, Alice, that I love! They may shoot me down for other reasons... I grew up with dogs, but since living on my own, I've never had one of my own. I don't have a yard, either. I'm not sure how much importance they place on either of those things. I wish they'd call me back! |
