| How sad, how in the world could someone let a poor little furbaby get in that kind of condition. Did he come from a puppymill? I hope someone gets him soon. He need someone to give him lots of TLC because from the looks of it he has never had any, bless his little heart.

| You might try calling "Yorkierescue.com". Don't have the phone number but you can e-mail them. They might be able to help you out. Again, good luck, Please let me know what happens. There's just no way I can get to New York. But I'm still very concerned about this little guy. I can see he would make someone a great buddy. And he will be beatifully when hes cleaned up. He needs groomed ASAP. Would that be possible? |

| TLC....I just called the shelter. They do put animals "down". Good news is....I was told a couple of rescue shelters are interested in him. This little guy won't be available until March 5 after 3:15 pm. He was shaved so I was glad to here THAT. Matting is a bad thing, as we all know. I'm planning on calling them if he's still there....would anyone be interested in going to NY w/me? |

This dog is in the NYC Animal Control Care, in the Lost and Found section. From his extremely long and dreadlock matted hair, I bet he has been lost for some time, so I doubt anyone is looking for him....I don't know how long they hold him, and they ARE a HIGH KILL shelter... OMG ~ They did groom him ~ THANK GOD!!! PetHarbor.com: Animal Shelter adopt a pet; dogs, cats, puppies, kittens! Humane Society, SPCA. Lost & Found., | |

| They hold animals for 3 days to give the owner time to claim them. From the looks of this little guy, I don't think anyone will claim him. Anyone from the Kansas area wanting to make to trip to NY ? Curious to know what happened between you & yorkierescue. |

| I can't imagine even if the owners come forward the shelter returning that poor thing. My god the conditions he must have lived in for seven years. May be a blessing he ended up in the shelter. I hope a reputable rescue takes him in and fosters him and lets him see what the good life is. I hate to see things like this, but unfortunately it happens more then we read. Elaine |

| Yeah, I'll keep him. I've got an 8 yr old beagle & a 6-8 yr old female yorkie that I got 5 months ago. I've never been to NY either. Probably fly. I know its crazy. But all that bundle of matting just tore me up. I honestly think one of the rescue shelters will take him. But still planning on calling about him. |
