| My Momma Died & Shelter Space is Limited for Me ~ (Female) Roanoke, VA I'm looking for gentle love and care. Sugar Bear is around six years old, her owner died and she is nervous around the loud noise in the shelter but remains sweet and gentle, she likes to be held. Sugar Bear has some skin issues but in a calm & loving home with the right diet she should recover well. Given her age and nervous disposition we recommend no children under the age of 10-12. This animal is currently at the Regional Center for Animal Control and Protection and is in danger of euthanasia. The Roanoke Valley SPCA does not have space for it at this time, but has temperament tested it as being adoptable. If you are interested in saving this dog's life by adopting, please contact RCACP Rescue at 540-344-4922 ext 202 with the animal's ID number. Additionally, please note that all Animal Control dogs are viewable by appointment only. Before adoption it will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Thank you for saving a life! Adopt a Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie: Sugar Bear: Petfinder Regional Center for Animal Control & Protection Roanoke, VA (540)344-4922 |

| It bothers me to see all the postings of the little dogs who are in need of a home, or are slated to be put down, because they are always far from me in another state, and if they would let out of state people adopt, they would not be putting most of these guys down.

| Loss One's In Need Of Homes Quote:
California are shipping the small breeds across the nation because so many of them are being turn into the shelters. Everyone wanted a designer dog as a fad because of all the celebrities. Not to mention all the family losing their homes and not able to put enough food on the table for their families. People should be stepping forward and adopting instead of buying at this point. Why put one of these little badies down because of the situation that happen in their lives. They need love too... It's not going to be long before the buying of pedigree's will starting falling off. Quality Breeds are going to be very hard to fine for pure lines. Let's all try and get homes for the loss ones in need of our love. It's not their fault because of what happened to them but everyone needs to pitch in and try to make a difference. Kathleen...
