Not because I look that way, it's just my name, and I know it well. I'm a sweet senior male yorkie who has had a run of bad luck lately. I'm hopeful that PPR can find me my forever home. I am 9-10 years old and weigh 9 lbs. I was spotted by PPR afew months ago down at a shelter in Warren County by Miss Tami. PPR thought I was lucky because I was adopted by a family; however, it proved not to work out. I'm a good yorkie. I lived all of my life with a senior lady who passed way and I was very sad. A relative took me to the shelter and I became sad/depressed. I was adopted and then returned. The shelter contacted my foster mom and arranged for me to come live at their house. The prior adoptive family was very nice; but, they returned me because I didn't fit well in their family. I have good attributes and some bad ones and they did write a letter informing the rescue or adoptive family of them. I have many more good ones than bad - but, it didn't work out. This sometimes happens and why I'm glad I'm in a rescue now. The reason is that my rescue is going to screen the applicants to apply for me and make sure that they know my personality and that personality matches well to the situation (family) that I'm going to live forever. They are going to have to accept and love me for the bad, as well as the good! I would love a family who has yorkies and experience with yorkies. I'm all up-to-date on my shots, neutered (of course) and being kept on heartworm and flea preventatives. My foster home is going to have me micro-chipped here soon. I have no teeth so a dental isn't necessary. I came this way - however, it's probably what's kept me healthy if I had bad teeth. They said at the shelter, I have to eat soft canned food; but, I'm starting to eat small Iam's for Toy Dogs and even tried a MilkBone - just takes me longer. I do love soft treats - especially the PPR treats - yum! I know you are very curious about my good and bad attributes: First of all, I'm an active senior yorkie. I can jump and run so I'm in good physical shape. I'm more attracted to senior ladies - sorry guys! I bond very close to the head lady of the family. I know who does the cooking - I'm not stupid. LOL I've been said to have some separation anxiety when my favorite person leaves. It must be true because I made a bed out of a laundry basket by the door until my foster mom comes home. I'm always the first to greet her. You should see how high I can jump to get attention. My foster mom says hello, Scruffy and then I'm a happy boy. I'm a very sweet well-behaved doggie. I'm adorable and people can easily fall in love with me. The only bad attribute that someone will probably have to live with... I will probably need to wear belly bands. This eliminates the problem of me having accidents and you to have to clean your carpet. Unfortunately, this is a common thing for yorkies and due to my age no one knows if I've done this my whole life or it's an emotional trauma thing. So, my foster mom wants you to know this in case I have to wear them forever. My foster mom has gotten me used to them and I don't mind at all. She will even see about getting you some if you want. Another bad thing is - I'm not a real player - even though I'm quite an active yorkie - I'm not going to run after kids and play chase with them. I don't have any problems with kids, dogs or cats for that matter. It's just not my bag. I'm a wonderful yorkie boy and a real cuddler -- I hope there is a single lady or couple out there that can give me a home. If you want to talk more to my foster mom or dad, please email them... they're going to miss me when I'm gone; but, know that I'm looking for my permanent new place in life. Scruffy If you are interested in Scruffy, please complete an application to adopt him on our website and follow up with an email to make sure we got it... on odd occasions we have had a form go missing between the site and us. The adoption donation fee for Scruffy is $150 Characteristics Breed: Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie Age: Senior Size: Small Gender: Male Offered by: Shelter Petfinder ID: 14363974additional information Pet has been spayed/neutered Puppy Pals Rescue | Beavercreek, OH | email (only) | lsklop@sbcglobal.net For additional information, see: Adopt a Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie: SCRUFFY: Petfinder or reply to this ad.
