Default Texas: Mr. Jiggles & Missy seniors need home

I normally do not post my fosters on here. I am posting Mr. Jiggles and Missy in the hope that it will give them more attention which may lead to them finding a wonderful forever home. They are sweet little 15 year old pups who just need a safe, loving place to spend the rest of their days together.

I went to take pictures of these two pups for someone yesterday whom I thought had a forever home for them. When I got there and called this person, they told me that they did not really have a home; and there was no way I could leave these precious babies behind.

Their story is very sad. They were not abused. The person who owned them was very ill and just was unable to care for himself, never mind his two beloved pets. He asked his son to make sure that they did not end up in a shelter. The son had reached out to YHR and then we had contacted this other person....anyway...long story short, as stated above, they are with me.

This is not a plea for donations....at some point, Missy will need a dental, but everything done thus far is paid for. I just want to give them all of the exposure I can. They are darlings and I want them to have something very special.

If you know anyone who has a love of seniors, please send them to the website to consider applying to adopt these precious babies.

They are at:

www.yorkiehavenrescue.com/adoptable.php#MissyTX

His bio is directly below hers. Their pictures are a bit disturbing...I just wanted people to realize why they look as they do now with long nails and uneven, short hair. My groomer is a doll and did the best she could. We really could not cut the nails shorter for now.
If you really look at her before pic, you can see she is a beautiful little yorkie. In time she will dazzle!

Once again LadyJane you have made me cry. I wish I had the means to take them all in. Some of those poor babies are so heartbreaking. It is so obvious the abuse they have had to endure. I am praying you find wonderful forever homes for them all.

So I am sitting here at 5 AM and just looking at these 2 beautiful little pups and in tears. I could see why someone would think they were abused by their former owner but I know that this poor man thought he was taking wonderful care of his very best friends in the entire world yet in truth they were being neglected but not being properly groomed and vetted. The story is heartbreaking when your owner becomes so ill that not only is he not able to take care of himself but he believes he is giving wonderful care to his best friends.

While LadyJane was at the home of these babies, I could tell by or quick conversation that someone was not right. Boy, I had no idea just how not right it was until I saw their pictures. My heart is breaking thinking Missy and Mr. Jingles were probably so confused how the man that they looked at for all of their 15 years no longer took the same care of them now as he did in the past. Then he leaves and they do not understand what happened to him nor why he has left.

But in walked Linda who swept them up and is giving them so much love and the care that they truly needed. Now I am bawling my eyes out but welcome to the real world. What a very sad situation all around.

There is hope for them now, and a chance at a better life. The good thing is that they have always had love!

They are both very sweet. Mr. Jiggles is a bit nervous but is coming around. Missy is just a doll. Her skin, eyes and mouth are infected, but she really is looking a bit better already. Once she gets those teeth out she will feel so much better.

They are both going to be stunning....mark my words on that! I have seen many nekkid yorkies turn around and shock people! Here is one that I love to show people...he is my personal pupster, Cody....his before and after pics! I fell in love with him the instant I saw him...he had such beautiful eyes and a great spirit in spite of the fact he had been so neglected....and, he turned into a beautiful boy although in my eyes he always was:
Index of /cody

As I said.....keep an eye on Missy! Mark my words, this is a diamond in the ruff!

Oh...and Mr. Jiggles and Missy send yorkie kisses to Manolos Mom

OMG! The pictures of Cody are night and day! He is a showstopper!

I'm glad to hear that Mr. Jiggles and Missy are easing into things. Just a few weeks on a good food and proper grooming will make a world of difference for them. I'm so glad they found their way to you

He is a distinguished gentleman these days...that was in 2005 and 06. He will be 13 this year and is definitely showing his age. It breaks my heart that I will lose him...he has had quite a difficult year with medical issues. Here he is not so long ago:

I don't know what I will do when that time comes for me...... Winnie is the oldest at almost 4 years old now and I pray every day that I get to watch my babies have a long healthy life.
I just visited Daisy, the chocolate lab I pulled off the street from a gas station outside San Antonio, she has been in her new home with a great friend of mine for almost a year now and she is a different dog, after 8 years of loyalty her owners decided to give up on her. Now she just beams with the new men in her life she is a shinning star looking like a little teenager!
All my love to Mr. Cody, I hope I can meet him soon.

Feathers my messy bird will outlive us all!

Losing one is just awful. There is no way to prepare for it.

How sweet that you found a home for Daisy! Wonderful story!

Come on up! You would love my Cody...he is the sweetest, gentlest pupster ever.

Missy had her dental today and only has a few teeth left. She had two growths removed...one from her neck and one from her back. She also had the cysts on her eyelids fixed! I figured she would be zonked out...but no...she was bright eyed and bushy tailed and came home and ate like a little piglet! Pretty amazing for a 15 year old! Here are a couple of pics of her as we were checking out...she is already starting to look so much better! She is a little doll...very very sweet!

Her brother, Mr. Jingles is coming along nicely as well. He is eating so well and has put on a few much needed ounces!
