| Spike - Yorkie [mix] - Young male - Columbia, MD Adopt a Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie: Spike: Petfinder Spike is a typical Yorkie -- energetic, smart, affectionate! Spike loves to cuddle with his humans and even sleep with them at night, but can run 3 miles with ease! He has completed a basic 7 week training course, and will even do his "business" outside on command. Our vet estimate that Spike is 3.5 years old and weighs 20 pounds. While he is fine with female dogs, he does not like male dogs so he would be best in a home with another female dog or two --or as an only dog. He is great with children and has regularly been around children ages 2 and up. He is a gem of a little boy! Before you complete our online application for Spike, please review our adoption requirements and procedures in our Adoption Center. If you meet our minimum requirements, please complete our online application. Or, you can find us at Adoption Application. Not ready to adopt, but want to help Spike find a home? Consider sponsoring Spike to help us provide top notch care. Your sponsorship will help us feed, vaccinate and house each pet we rescue; 100% of your contribution will go to the care of Spike! We offer several sponsorship options on our site, Sponsor A Tara's House Pet -$20.00 will feed Spike for a month -$15.00 will provide a rabies vaccination -$75.00 will provide the complete suite of vaccinations and heartworm blood testing -$150 sponsorship will cover most of Spike's needs and get your name included in his profile as his sponsor. Please consider this unique method for supporting Tara’s House and directly helping a rescued dog find his forever home! See other ways to support Tara's House at Support Tara's House! We can always use the help of generous individuals so we can care for and rescue more unwanted dogs. Thank you!
