| Two Yorkies in high kill shelter I saw an ad on Craigslist today. It said there were Yorkies in a high kill shelter and their days are numbered. They are scheduled to be euthanized in late March. go to: Dogs In Danger. Do a search of Yorkies in Missouri. These dogs are in a shelter in Osceoloa, MO. That is near the Lake of the Ozarks, I think. I think I have seen these two dogs in petfinder, also. It's so sad there are tooooo many dogs that need homes. |

| I'm on the phone with them right now. They say that they DO release to rescues and that these girls are beautiful and sweet. I am wondering if there is anyone in the area that could foster or would be willing to adopt them. They come from the same home. I have the name and cell phone of the lady in charge of the facility if there are any legitimate rescues interested.

| I would love to have them - but I already have a Yorkie and a chihuahua. My husband is unemployed - so we just can't do it. |

| Ok I am confused. First let me say I would love to adopt one of these little girls but Hubby and I are on a very limited fixed income so we just cant but that being said I have friends who would like to take one but cannot afford the 200 dollar adoption fee at the moment. I understand that the fee covers shots spaying etc. but.....why would they rather kill them than allow someone to adopt them free that would give them a loving home |

| My husband and I worked with OK Rescue last fall and went down to a shelter in Osceola and picked up two yorkies for them. If they need help again we could probably help out. Let me know. Hmmm, with that said, I am going out of town tomorrow and won't return til LATE Sunday evening so if time is of the essence and it had to be this weekend, I guess we wouldn't be able to do it. If next week would work, we probably can. I will keep an eye on here even tho I am out of town.

| FYI...Osceola is less than 2 hrs from KC if anyone else can help. It is not too far from Clinton, MO. I see they have til the end of March so please let me know if I can help again.

| Thank you. Actually I (just me) am flying out to see my daughter (Sukoshi's Mom) in CA! I love going out there and am never ready to come back home. I LOVE IT in beautiful California! I'll be checking in over the weekend in case there is any news.

| I was just one Petfinder, one of the dogs isn't listed anymore. Maybe he got adopted???? Sure hope so. I am still working on my husband to go get Gidget. Since we were supposed to foster our chihuahua and he is still here 7 years later - my husband says no way........ I'm still keeping an eye on this.... |
