| puppymill Yorkies need home!! This rescue email me but I now have 2 and can't have anymore. Hoping someone from YT could get one. Saturday we will be getting at least six YOUNG breeding dogs from a puppy mill, maybe more. We were told several yorkies, a few female mini poodles, and possibly one young female shih tzu. So check for their listings, probably Sunday or Monday, and I will send an email out about them. Dazzle, the 5 yr old westie male, and Daisy, the 7 yr old female mini poodle, can go to separate homes if nobody wants them together. They are a great pair, bonded, housebroken, really GOOD dogs! There has to be a home out there who would like two dogs who can play together and stay together and keep each other company while you work. I get lots of complaints that our dogs can't go to a working home. Well, these two can.!!!!So how about some of you people who work full time adopting this pair? Another rescue has asked me to contact you offering this 3-1/2 month old Cavalier King Charles/Cocker Spaniel mix puppy. He will be big, I would guess in the high 20's to low 30's in weight. He's out of our normal "small" dog range, but you can check to be sure with Laura, whose email is magjimwil@aol.com. Multiple the puppy's weight by 4 and that should give you an idea of his adult weight, give or take. TELL HER BARB FROM SOS DOGS REFERRED YOU! To all of you, have a GREAT Thanksgiving, and give thanks for your job and your house in this awful economy. | Their website states that they only adopt from Massachusetts to Virginia. I would be interested in a yorkie but I don't want to waste my time filling out the application if I don't have a chance her in NC. So could you provide more information about this? Thank you. |

| Doesn't look like they will let anyone not close by adopt. This was on their site. What if I don't live in your area? Unfortunately, we do not feel that shipping dogs is an acceptable experience for the dog and will not ship dogs around the country. You must be able to drive to NJ or a nearby state (or where the dog is located) to pick up the dog. You must also be willing to have an SOS DOGS representative visit your home for a home check. If you are out of our serving area, try our helpful links section to locate a rescue near you.

| I could drive to Virginia but I just wasn't sure if they would let me adopt because I don't live in the states specified, but I could drive to Virginia. |

Thor's Human Donating Member | Well, I would be willing to fly there and fly back with the puppy in the cabin, not shipped. I guess they would probably not be able to inspect my home though, if they don't have representatives in my are. |

| Their website states " You must be able to drive to NJ or a nearby state (or where the dog is located) to pick up the dog." But I got an email back saying that ALL of their dogs are located in NJ not a nearby state. But they didn't say I couldn't adopt if I could come to NJ. |

it looks like the HS of US helped and they are sending some to other states, but I would think some are still in NC

One of our members went there the next day and helped bathe the ones that were there...we did not get any of the yorkies. If you PM me, I will let you know what group pulled them. I have been praying that they changed their minds about listing pups on CL....I believe they are a relatively new group.

| how awful about the craigslist I think some people think they can just start saving dogs and really not have any clue on how to properly run a rescue
