This petite, pint size bundle of joy is looking for someone special with whom to share his life. Winkie had a rough time before coming into his CARE foster home. He had been picked up as a stray and taken to the county shelter. When found, was terribly thin, dehydrated, matted and covered with ticks. He is recovering from an ulcer in his right eye but has never complained once. Winkie needs to gain more weight before he can be neutered and have his teeth cleaned, so it will probably be the end of July before he is available to go to his new home. However, he is ready to interview potential adopters before then so that when the time is right, his new home will be all ready for this special little guy. He likes to hop around the yard and play with his small canine friends. Winkie will also tap dances with his front feet when you play with him on the floor. He loves to stretch out on your belly and cuddle, enjoys taking a nap there and also snuggles around your neck, giving you a hug. Because he is so tiny and delicate, Winkie needs to go to a home with no children under age 15.
