20+ puppymill yorkies coming in! Foster homes needed Hello everyone!!!! I just heard that we are getting 20+ yorkies in and another 5-10 maltese of all ages (puppies to adults). If anyone has ever wanted to foster or help with rescue please let me know. I am with Shih Tzu and Furbaby Rescue we take in all toy breeds. We are group that basically covers the enter middle to east coast so we would need foster homes in all areas. We also need help with transportation, home visits, vet checks, fundraising, etc.. If you would like to help in any way please let me know. You can also check us out at Shih Tzus and Furbabies, a national organization dedicated to the rescuing, rehabilitation and rehoming of toy breed dogs Also, if you happen to be in Lancaster, PA on 9-20 for PuppyMill Awareness Day we will be one of the rescues who will be attending. And you will be able to meet me and my other fellow Rescuers for more info please check out Puppy Mill Awareness Day - Awareness Day is the home for information pertaining to puppymills, pet stores and the movement to end such horrible facilities Jenn

Yes anyone can apply to be a foster parent. All that you would need to do is put in an application so we can process your application. You will than receive a phone call and have a phone interview, we will do a reference/vet check and home visit. If you have kids or even a larger pup please don't shy away, we approve adopters/fosters on a case by case bases.

The application can be found on our website Shih Tzus and Furbabies, a national organization dedicated to the rescuing, rehabilitation and rehoming of toy breed dogs We also have links that if you can only help with transport you can sign up to help with that as well. Yes I love this group because we help as many as we can from mills, shelters, owner surrenders and we like to do the application process as a case by case bases. We don't like to generalize at all and we are even coming up with a new process for seniors looking to adopt as well Which I think is fantastic because all of know of several 80+ yr olds who are very much active and would love to have a little so we working on getting that going. This group is made up of large amount of people with different experience. We help each other out all time and we ask each other questions about training, health, food, etc. It really is a great work to be involved in.
