I know, my husband just told me the same thing, I sent an email and left a message, but considering this baby has to be taken to the vet and who knows her health record, I think is a bit much. I would like to hear opinions please, what do you all think, what should I ask for?

It's a pretty common practice with different rescues across the country... I've even seen times when local breeders will donate a pup or an entire litter to "help the cause". Sort of an "all proceeds will go to support.... etc." type of thing. Not saying that this IS the case with this baby... I have no idea, and didn't even look at the webpage linked here.... but just what I've learned of the practices of some rescues.

| Here you can purchase a purebred Yorkie, even AKC registered... for 200.00 in the paper just about any day of the week. You wouldn't think that Yorkie lovers from Oklahoma would need to have babies flown in from all over the country! (but we do!)

Donating YT 10K Club Member | For that price I sincerely doubt there is much to the....breeder's program and I use that term lightly.

| Sometimes they ask for higher adoption fees for the healthy and younger dogs to help pay for the expenses incurred by taking care of sick yorkies that come into the rescue.

| I'm surprised the rescue would get rid of the yorkie at 8 weeks. Is that unusual? I hope it is a healthy one they have.
