22 month male yorkie in WV needing new home After going to a family reunion today, I found out that my husband's cousin and her family has decided that Rufus needs a new home. Rufus was purchased for her daughters ages 13 and 6 now 2 years ago. He is 22 months now. He is neutered and well just needs attention. He is playful doesn't bite, and the kids just don't fool with him anymore. I feel sorry for him. He was born 8-5-06, he weighs around 5.5 lbs., he is up to date on all of his shots, on Iames pet food, and ckc registered. Oh and he will have his crate coming with him. They are asking 300.00 for him. I am going to try to attach pictures of him. If we didn't already have our 10 yr. old golden retriever and Brady our 4 month old yorkie we would take him. Someone please give him a forever home. Sheri

He's adorable, it's too bad they don't want him anymore! I hope he finds a wonderful forever home. If I were closer, I would be able to find him a home!!!

Good luck finding him a home! He's to far from me. But I'm sure you'll find a great home for him soon! I feel so bad that no one pays attention to him anymore. He's so young...it's very sad.

Thanks for your replies. My heart breaks for him also. I just don't understand how people don't think about what happens after the puppy newness stage is over. I do know that they gave him to their kids as a Christmas puppy, first mistake. The one that is suffering here is Rufus. When I talked to the mom today she said that they just didn't give him the time that he needed. I asked her what she was doing about finding a home, and she mentioned trading journals, etc. I then told her I would put him on here for her, if she wanted, because I knew that the people here at YT would want to help him.

How sad..... Maybe you should try to convince them that should surrender him to a Yorkie Rescue where they have the experience to place him in a loving forever home... Are you sure you can't take him or foster him until the right family came along????

Home for Rufus? I was wondering yet if you have found a home for Rufus. I also live in WV and was wondering his status. Are they still asking $300 for him?
