We had a discussion about this here on YT a few days ago. Someone postd about these pups and some were willing to donate a donation to get one out if someone will foster. I am willing to foster atleast one of them if not two. I would have to talk to the hubby about two of them. He will probably strangle me but what the hell. Anyway, I belong with Burlington Animal Rescue and have just forward the info to our Yahoo Group. I will give a call on Monday morning and see what needs to be done. If this goes through is anyone willing to help get these babies to NJ?

Thanks.
Elaine

Default Transport Help

I have managed to find foster homes for two to three females if they can be transported to NJ. I will foster one and someone else will foster one or two of them. Anyone willing to help with transport to NJ? I am working on finding fosters for the others. AGAIN I WILL NEED HELP GETTING THEM HERE SO WE WILL NEED A YT TRAIN. I am going to call tomorrow morning and make sure they are still available and that they will release them.

Thanks.

Elaine

I started the other post on Thursday about the yorkies in Osceola. I will be part of the YT Train even if I have to take a day off to do it! I live about 2 1/2 hours away from Osceola. I don't have the money to get them out but I will go and get them and start the train. I can donate a little money to help get one out too. It's not much but I can donate $50 and use my own gas and car to help get them to the next checkpoint.

Can you call the shelter and try to make a deal?

Say you will take them all - what kind of fee/deal can they work out?

jrsygal37 is calling them tomorrow- i am hoping that they will release them rather than euthanize them. I am praying very hard that we all can work together to get them out. Even if a bunch of us can put $10 towards the fees, maybe we can get them out.

On Friday I emailed United Yorkie Rescue about these yorkies, requesting their assistance. I've yet to hear anything back from them. It's a little upsetting, as I thought rescuing yorkies is WHAT they do, is it not?

I would be willing to donate some money to rescue these yorkies and possibly even to foster one.

From reading on their website, apparently the higher adoption fees are to help fund the shelter. In other words, having yorkies they assume someone will pay the higher fee because they are a popular breed right now.

[b][b] Yes, but according to what was posted today, they are going to put them to sleep on Tuesday if they are no rehomed so I am going to call tomorrow and see if they going to waive the $200 adoption fee. I have a person willing to foster one or two of the girls and I will foster one. I just need to get info. as far as what the shelter will want and if they will release them to me or a rescue etc. I will also need help with transport. I'm in NJ and I'll have to see if anyone here on YT would be willing to pick up and then do a YT Train to NJ. Elaine

Default Down to the wire

I have no idea how to organize a transport train but here goes...Who can be part of a transport on Monday/poss Tues and where do you live in relation to Osceola? Who can take fosters? Who can contribute if they won't release without $$$ of some kind? I only have Mon/Tues available for any transport as I live in WV 13 hours away but can take some/all temporarily and then after Sunday can transport some/all wherever to whoever somehow.
My daughter and 100 people are flying in from LA to WV for her wedding this Saturday, but there are also people driving in from NY/NJ as well. There is potential for transport there. I am completely tied up in the wedding from Wen-Sun morn so I can't transport then, but would be able to house them throughout that time. I am open to any suggestions or help in making this happen. We won't know specifics til Monday morning, but it would be great to have a potental plan in place. Also, PLEASE take a few minutes to cross post or contact anyone you know who could help. Maybe we could make this be a Mother's Day miracle.
Thanks so much!-Tara
