I applied, however, probably too late. I also put on application I would be interested in fostering at some point. Reading all of those stories breaks my heart. Especially the one where the dog was angry because the family gave him up and he didnt know why. That is sooo sad.
I just want to take all of the babies in.

I would love to foster but get so discouraged when they say no children...I mean...geesh! I understand some situations or bad experiences some dogs have been through but my 2 sons who are both very laid back and calm and have always had animals since they were babies and have always been involved in all of the care for those animals. With my babies now, they love them like they're their own. When I'm not home, all of them stay with my 7 year old son, follow him everywhere. He handles them, spoils them, talks to them, just as I would.

Are there any they allow to go to homes with children???

I guess I'll never know unless I try.

That is too bad.

I hear you, and some dogs love children, it is those bad apples that spoil the who basket ah. Maybe you need to not say you have children, I am not sure how it works, but my nephew had three kids and they grew up with a yorkie and that yorkie lived a long life. So not all kids can be clasified as not good for a yorkie.. pooh's mum

Not a bad idea

My sister lives in my same neighborhood..maybe I can send them over there...but...they probably do a home inspection..I'd have to say all the video games are mine

I don't know a lot of rescues in my area..I'm in Southern Maryland...guess I could look in surrounding states: delaware, pennsylvania, virginia, w.virginia..I'll have to keep my eyes and ears open.

It just breaks my heart when I see those rescue websites and read the stories...it's like I want to say "give 'em to me"!

Yeah, I really want to foster, but I work so I am sure that disqualifies me. I also have a 14 yr old who is so responsible with my dogs and so loving and caring to them.

I wouldnt really recommend lying, I do believe they do home inspections.

I'm new to YT. I've been looking for a rescue and found the website you posted to be the most willing to "work" w/ me since I have a child. I have not found one in my area yet, but check the website everyday! (I also have a maltese and lab). I've found out that the lab is a black ball too.

Due to it's size? Aren't labs normally sweet.
