| Looking for Grooming Tote I'm looking for a way to organize my furbabies grooming/bathing supplies. It needs to be large enough to fit: 3 towels, 2 8 ounce shampoo bottles, paw and ear wipes, a blow dryer, brushes, a bag of treats, nail clippers, and so on. I want something that has extra pockets on the sides (not a bag that has only 1 main opening for everything). Maybe a main pocket that is divided into two parts? It also needs to be portable. I've been thinking of buying a tote from Target, but they're not big enough, nor do they have enough pockets. Is there such a product out there, or does anyone else have any suggestions on organizing grooming supplies? Thanks! Last edited by TurtleDove; 09-30-2007 at 10:37 AM. |

| Those are adorable baskets, but if you sew it wouldn't be hard to make one just the way you like it.

| Thanks for the suggestions ladies! I was thinking of ordering a Go Doggie bag, but it would be too small for all the things I want in there. The bucket idea is very creative, but I am not a huge expert at sewing. If anyone has any other ideas, do share! |

| I actually use a microwave cart for my grooming supplies. I have the rotating grooming table on the top and all the towels and plastic bins on the 2 shelves below. There are also hooks on the side for misc. stuff. I love it cause I can keep it in the puppies' room and when it's time for grooming I just wheel the whole thing into the kitchen

| Well, I didn't want to say anything because I didn't want to take a sale away from a YT vendor (Cindy - chattiesmom), but since you said the Go Doggie bag wouldn't work for what you had in mind...before Cindy came out with her Go Doggie bag, I ordered Sukoshi a diaper bag from a seller on eBay. It is actually a baby diaper bag, but you could definitely use it for grooming supplies. The seller's name is Teresa, and she was SO great to work with! Her bags have pockets inside to put all your brushes, etc., and although her standard bag wasn't big enough for me (I knew I'd be taking a LOT of stuff home for Sukoshi at X'mas time), she worked with me and made me an oversized bag that is PLENTY big . You could use the link to ask her a question, tell her what you're wanting, and I'm sure she'll make it to whatever size you'd like. I got an oversized version of the bag below, with "Sukoshi & Tanuki" embroidered on it (in preparation for getting Tanuki next May), but she has other fabrics available in her store if you're prefer another color scheme... The bag like I got for Sukoshi in the "non-oversized" dimensions... Deep-South Designs - eBay Store Edit: This listing has a pic of what the pockets look like inside...Pic of Inside Pockets Last edited by Sukoshi's Mom; 10-11-2007 at 10:04 AM. |

She didn't charge me much more for the oversized bag - $42.95 , BUT...the she did have to charge me quite a bit for shipping because of the big ol' box she had to send it in (which is considered oversized by the USPS) - $20.00 , so my total was hefty because of the shipping! I would definitely order from her again though, as it's not her fault the USPS charges so dang much! The bag she made me was (according to her listing...I didn't measure it when it got to my house, although I think she may have even made it bigger than what her listing reads) "app. 19.5" across top, app. 15" high bottom to be app. 5" deep. Straps app. 26" long from end to end". Her normal bag measures 16.5" across, 13.5" high, and 4.5" x 12" bottom, and although the oversized didn't seem like it would be that much bigger, it is really a nice size. And the bag and the embroidery are really top quality! I also requested she put some sort of "closure" on it because I didn't want Sukoshi's stuff falling out in the overhead bins on the plane, and she offered me a few options (a flap, a snap, or ribbon ties), and I went with the ribbon ties. So...she put 4 or 5 matching pink ribbons along the top of the bag, so I can just tie those to keep everything enclosed. I went with that b/c I can make the bag as fat as I want without having to worry the snaps or flaps won't close. Oh, and I was completely up-front with her about it being for a DOG, and she found that completely normal !!!! I love it when people confirm that I'm not CRAZY . | |

Therapy Dog Donating Member | Oh see it looks black on her Ebay post..brown is fine too. I love that you asked her to add ribbons instead of a flap or snap. Good thinking....I love this and most likely will get one soon. The price isn't bad but you are right on the shipping - it's hitting all those poor Ebay sellers for sure.
