| Xpen help Believe it or not, but Puff is 18 months old and we've never used an Xpen with her! However, it's time that we had one... I need advice on what to get, so any suggestions/recommendations would really be appreciated. Thanks, Shannon

| Now that she is grown, and has never been enclosed in an x-pen, I suspect you may have problems....I cant really give any suggestions, as I usually have mine started in x-pens at 6 weeks old. Please keep us updated on your experience! |

| How big is Puff and is she a climber? I have the basic metal xpens from Tractor Supply. The pet stores sell the same ones, but they are more expensive there. Max is a jumper, so I had to buy the taller ones. He has almost jumped out of the shorter one (2' high?).

| When I think of Xpens I think of the metal ones because one of mine says Xpen on the label...I have 3, one is two feet high, the other two is 4 feet high. One is a very heavy metal and the other is a thinner metal...I can sit all three outside and have a fence. But the two feet high one can be jumped easily. I've never had anyone jump the 4 feet high ones. I don't use them except to block off the door of the puppy room occasionaly. I used them more when my babies were puppies.

| Thanks for the replies. I should have been clearer as to what I'm thinking. We use baby gates in the house, but I was thinking an ex pen might be useful outside when we are in the front yard, and also maybe to take with us when we visit people. I do wish I had gotten her one when she was a puppy!
