| Car Seat wanted Hey everyone, I know there's another thread about someone looking for a car seat but I was actually wondering if there is a car seat that doesn't sit up high, that I can put in my passenger seat? The other person said their dog likes to look out the window but my puppy hates looking out the window. He would rather lay down and sleep through the car ride. All he needs is a place to sit his head comfortably and he is okay. My mom yells at me all the time cause I just put him in the passenger seat when I drive and he just lays there but since it's winter out and deer are everywhere, I not only am concerned for my own safety while driving, but his as well. Does any YT members sell car seats? Was hoping to find a small one for about $50-60, or less. Less is always better but it obviously has to be safe. I wouldn't spend less just to forgo the option of him being safe in a cheapy car seat.

| The Snoozer car seat sits the lowest, and it looks pretty snuggly, perfect for napping. If you look around the internet, you may be able to find a deal on the small one. Another alternative is a special car harness that hooks up to the seat buckles. The only downside is that it is not as easy or fast as hooking up a tether from a car seat to the harness your dog is probably already wearing when you go in the car. Not sure if the car harness allows enough room lie down either. PetSmart sells them though.

The snoozer looks like it'd work if it does sit low. Can I put that on my passenger seat? He doesn't like to go in the backseat cause he can't be next to me.

You can put the car seat in the passenger seat, but if you have airbags in your car, this can be deadly -- whether your dog is in a dog seat or not. If you can turn off the airbag, do it. If not, put your puppy in the backseat. Human baby car seats are required to go in the back seat for this reason. Max suffered anxiety in the car when he was a pup and a car seat made a world of difference. It didn't eliminate his problem 100% overnight, but it made a significant improvement instantly and over a little time, he learned to love the car.

I can't turn off the airbags in my car. There are bags in the dashboard and the seats for side impact. I hit a curb once and the impact on the undercarriage of the car caused the side impact bag to deploy. It was like a bomb going off. Scared the daylights out of me.

| I would recommend the snoozer also Courtney. Geno can choose to lay down and snooze if he prefers...that's what mine do if we go for a long ride. You will get a teether strap when you puchase it. I was told, and it makes very good sense, that the carseat and the weight of the yorkie do not register on the carseat, so the air bag is not activated. I can turn mine off anyhow. We've got the small one and the larger one that I found at a consignment store. Love them both.

| That makes sense to me too, but some cars may not be as smart, like mine. The side-impact bag that deployed was on the passenger side and no one was sitting there.

| Wow, definitely gotta be careful. Also, don't forget, there are some models that have side impact in the back as well. I need to check mine, not sure if it does or not, one of my hubby's did, but he always gets the limited edition which has all the bells and whistles.

| I'm going to have look up my car's manual and find out. I think a light goes on to tell me if the passenger airbag is on or not, not sure though. I'll have to check.

$212!?!?!? That's it!? hahaha That doesn't even look like it'd be as comfy as the snoozer and that's over half the price lol
