Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Wanted: Doggy Heating Pad!! Lola loves to wake up in the morning and go lie by the heater!! I was thinking I would LOVE to buy her a little heating pad that she could lay on in the mornings. Does anyone have one new/used?? How long is the cord? I'd like it to be around 6' if possible. Let me know!! I know this is a random request, so I'm not sure how much luck I will have, but even if you have some suggestions about where I might be able to get one that's not too expensive, that would be most helpful! Thanks everyone!!! |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I read about some that have a center that you heat in the microwave, and place back in bag, it's said to keep the heat for 6 or so hours, you'd have to do a google. Here's a link to the tradional kind that is said to be safe for pets. Heated Pet Bed Warmer - Three Sizes: CozyWinters Oh here's a microwavable one, at the same place. Microwavable Pet Bed Warmer: CozyWinters and it lasts for 12 hours.

| I saw one at petco y'day. It was designed for doggies. Didn't see the price but it was in a box and looked really nice. I would be nervous using a human heating pad as you don't know how hot they will get. I would definitely get one designed for puppies. Good luck! |

| I purchased a heat pad for my new litters. It has 2 different temperatures, one side stays at 98 degrees the reverse side at 80 degrees. I had my pad on for 6 weeks, 24/7, and it worked great. Several different sizes, priced reasonably. PetEdge: ProSelect Heated Kennel Pads

I don't at all mean to sound cheap, but I just want to see if I can find one without all the extra charges tacked on to it. Thank you so much for the suggestions!! If you are ever willing to sell yours, keep me in your mind | |

Oh nice price for that. Oh I just saw your post, that's one of the things I don't like about Pet Edge. Here's another site, but their prices seem higher. Heated Dog Beds : Shop Heated Dog Bed at i Dog Beds

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Just been searhing around... Does anyone know if it matters if it's a kitty one (they're cheaper for some reason)? Also, there are heating devices that you just stick into the bed, and I'm wondering if those are any good? |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I think the kitty ones are usually smaller, and that what makes them cheaper, I know kitty beds are cheaper, and they are just the right size for Yorkies. Can't answer you with the second question, some of those don't actually come on until the dog lays on it, and so the dog wouldn't be as attracted to it as a pad that was already warm, but if it was in his bed anyway, I would think it would work.

| I like this heating pad so well, I'll be buying another one once they are back in stock. Good luck in your search.
