| Not for a yorkie but desparately need something custom for my doxie -health reasons I need a custom made harness for my daschund, Spike. I have tried every store bought harness under the sun and ALL of them chafe his skin and give him horrible rashes on his chest. Also, they are not as long and pull really tight under his 'armpits' which also gives him rashes. So it needs to be a soft non-chafing material that is slightly longer than a regular harness. I would be very grateful if someone could help me with this. I miss walking my baby in the park.

| Heres a picture of him wearing a standard harness. See how short it is on him? Poor baby. I only put the collar on him for walks so he has his tag on, but I dont clip the leash there. I tried putting the tshirt under, but I can't find any tshirts that fit him right either. Oh, I also tried loosening the chest part too, but he slips out of it.

| If you would be interested in a step-in I make them out of silk and it will not be so rough on Spike's delicate skin - I have never made a harness for a Doxie, but I'd be glad to work with you. |

That sounds great! What information do you need from me about Spike? If you like, I can post a picture of spike with a ruler along his side. So you have a visual of where the chest strap might go.

| That would be fantastic. The measurement I am most concerned about is the length from center chest straight under his legs to a point directly behind his front legs.... does that make any sense? |

I will be able to get the picture when my husband gets home today from work. Around 345. I cant seem to get his little body straight enough for the picture, lol. He keeps turning around to see what I'm doing. His neck measures 10 inches around.
