| Remote collarless pet trainer I have a PetSafe Collarless Trainer for sale. It is an ultrasonic remote with a range up to 30 ft. There is no receiver needed so no collar. You can emit a negative tone that only the dog can hear and a positive reinforcement tone that you can hear as well. This item is new. I do not have the original plastic as opening the dang thing tore up that contraption. (You know how that goes). I do have all the materials, though. The remote requires a 9-volt battery. The remote is in perfect working condition. I ordered it before I spoke to a trainer who suggested a gentle lead halter for Penny's issues. I will tell you that Riley definitely responded when I tested the remote. I paid just under $40 with shipping, but I'm asking $25 (shipped) just to recover some of the cost. PayPal is preferred. Thanks! Oh, here's a link to their site with info on the product: PetSafe Collarless Trainer |

| So...how does this work? I have a lab that has been chasing cars down our driveway....no matter how much we try to teach him, reward him, etc...he just keeps on. I just HATE it when dogs chase cars. It is Rusty, the one we got from our neighbor, so I am sure he was never trained otherwise. He no longer chases after our cars, but my husband has a business at home and it gets really old after awhile. Do you think something like this would work on him?

| The trainer is designed to help with obedience training & behavior modification. When your pet exhibits an undesirable behavior, you push the N button which emits a high-frequency tone that humans can't hear but the pet can. Then, when the pet exhibits correct behavior, you push the P button; this makes a nice tone (that you can hear) that helps to reinforce to your pet that this behavior is good. The guide explains how it all works and even gives tips on how to teach basic obedience and how to eliminate unwanted behaviors: jumping up, digging, chasing, trash raiding & excessive barking. Oh, and it has a belt clip on the back so you can keep the remote handy. |
