| ? Looking for Summer Mat Free Type Harness ? I need some suggestions for a Harness for the summer for TJ and Roxy. We are currently using the 'silk step-in harness' which I really like, they are light and well-made. The only thing is that TJ and Roxy will get really bad mats. Is there anyway around this? It is very fustrating I want something that is light and cool for the summer, but something that will be close to mat free as possibly? Anyone |

| Thanks, these are what I am currently using. I think they are great, well made, light and comfortable, except my 2 have serious matting issues |

| I don't think you will find a better harness that won't cause matting than the silk ones. I think you need to look more into hair products that prevent matting rather than the harness because I have tried several harnesses and the silk ones are the best. The seabreeze oil and the cowboy magic are two good products to prevent matting. JMO

| I think the step in harness is about as mat free as you will get. You might consider a slightly shorter cut for the summer. It does not have to be shaved close to the skin, something just an inch or two shorter might be enough to do the trick.

| My girl has been using a buddy belt for over 6 months now, they aren't cheap about $50 CDN. but work great she has never had a mat due to using this harness.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I do use the Buddy Belts on both my guys - and I really like them. Great quality and no mats that I notice. Wylie has matted w/ other ones - as well as getting fur caught in the typical harnesses w/ the plastic connections. Go here for good prices (Wy's was $33, Marcel's was $23): http://www.metropawlispetboutique.com/buddy_belt.html
