| Tutu Fundraiser My sister's dog, Darci, has luxating patella in both of her knees and needs surgery to correct this. The vet said the longer she waits, the greater the chance of her getting arthritis. My sister is a student and can't really afford the surgery so she has decided to make and sell tutus as a fundraiser. She can make the tutus in any size and color combination that you choose. Here are a few examples of the tutu. She won the St. Patrick's Day doggy costume contest in the green tutu. You can choose between 1-4 colors for this tutu. The price is $12 (shipping and handling is included for addresses in the U.S.) The green, pink and yellow one is a specialty one with sparkly pom poms throughout it - perfect for Spring or Easter. You also have your choice of colors for the tutu (green, pink, yellow, white and blue work best with the pom poms.) The price of this one is $15 (shipping and handling is included for addresses in the U.S.) To measure your pet for this, measure from the base of the tail to halfway up the back where you would like the waistband to fall. This will be the length of the tutu. For the waist measurement, measure around the area of your pet's waist where you would like the waistband to lie. You don't want the waistband to be too loose because it will wiggle right off of the pet. The waistband will be elastic so it will allow for some stretch. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. The prices above are for pets up to 17" waist. For larger sizes please contact for price. If you would like to have the tutu in for Easter, please try to place your orders early. Thank you for your help! |

| Those tutu's are so.... cute. But I don't think my two boys would look very good in one of them. Good Luck to your sister.

| What a cute model! For those who aren't into the tutus, maybe she could also offer "party collars". The construction process would be basically the same....and those could even be done for boys! http://images.google.com/images?sour...=1&sa=N&tab=wi

Thank you for the advice. My sister is looking into it to see what fabric is best for those collars because the tulle that I'm using right now will be too poofy for around the neck. | |
