| Carseat confusion... I'm getting so confused about buying a carseat. I've seen quite a few of them but I want one that will go in the front seat next to me but that can also go in the back seat if I have a passenger. Do they make anything like this? It doesn't have to be fancy since Brutus is rarely in the car just safe. Thanks!

| Oh I can't turn my air bags off. So I need a carseat just for the backseat then. Thanks for the info!

| Have you tried the lookout car seat, but I'm not to sure if you can attach it to the back seat or is it the straps just to go in a single seat??

| The look out connects with the seatbelt, so could theoretically go in any seat. I believe they are safest in the backseat, however.

| Thanks! So I guess the Lookout is the best carseat then since I can put it in the backseat. Are they still able to look out the window in that though? Geez you would think I was taking him cross country or something! I really only need it for the occasional outing but I want to make sure he's safe. When I take him out now I put him in his crate in the back seat but he always gets sick.

| I really like this one but I don't have headrests in the backseat so I can't use it I don't think. http://item.express.ebay.com/Large-D...mdZExpressItem

| The lookout is basically designed for the backseat. And they really can look out (they are quite high up). I don't have one, but a good friend has several, and when we go places with her and her guys Gingers sits in one of her carseats. She loves it. I used to put her in her celltei bag to travel (it has seatbelt straps) but since we got Bernie was in need of a new arrangement. I'm to cheap to spend $150+ on the two dog Lookout, so I ended up making my own. It's not pretty, but it works. I got a long sturdy laundry basket and a $7 bed pillow at Target. Added a blanket I already had, Dollar store leashes to use as straps to slide the seatbelt through, and a leash connector ($6) at petsmart. The whole thing took 5 minutes to assemble, and both can sit in it or lay down. Heck if I knew how to sew I could even make it pretty, but G & B could care less! Just a thought

| When dh gets home with the camera I'll try to take some pics. It was really very easy and inexpensive. And I've used the lookouts. They are nice but they don't provide anymore security than this does. PM me if you have any specific questions.

| I finally broke down and bought one of the Snoozer lookout console carseats...we normally just put Mojo's basket there w/ his blanket, but it would move and slide around and he could move around. Well, the console lookout has been GREAT! It attches (easily) under the two front seats and then a strap around the console lid. If you need to take it out, you just snap the straps off at the buckles (so you don't have to get under the seats again, that strap stays there). Mojo LOVES it! It has an adjustable strap w/ a clasp on it to attach to their D-ring on the clothing or harness - you can adjust it where their movement is just where you think it should be. This may not be an option for you, but I just didn't want something that would take up a seat and something way back in the backseat (ha). IMGP0106s.jpg
