| Dupioni Silk Harnesses Silk Selections http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/alb...?albumid=12439 Silk Step-In Harnesses came into being soon after I became owned by my first Yorkie Laciebug back in 1993. I couldn’t find a harness that was SAFE enough, SMALL enough and GENTLE enough for her. Being a seamstress and being unwilling to settle for less than the best for my precious Laciebug, I spent countless hours in R/D with different harness styles and fabrics. I chose Step-In’s and Dupioni Silk for the following reasons: 1) Properly fitted, there is NOTHING in the delicate throat area and the harness is almost inescapable. The straps fit across the center of the chest and under the belly right behind the front legs. 2) Dupioni Silk is gentle on delicate hair and it has a simple elegance that perfectly complements the essence of Yorkies. 3) The harnesses are incredibly light weight and incredibly strong. An average harness/leash set weighs 1˝ to 2 ounces. The Dupioni Silk is so incredibly strong that I have used the leash as a makeshift lead for a miniature horse who decided the grass was greener on the other side. 4) There is a double safety factor with the buckle and two "D" rings. 5) Step-In's are incredibly easy to put on. Basically a "bra without cups", one leg goes through each hole, the silk straps snuggle up and around the sides, and the buckle snaps at center back. The leash is attached to both "D" rings and you are ready for a walk. When ordering a harness for your furbaby, please keep in mind that your harness is custom made using the measurements and silk selections you provide. I thank you for your patience while I am carefully constructing your harness order. | I'll try to explain it the best I can. The walk nice harness has an additional D ring in the front of the harness in the chest area. If you hook your leash into that D ring and the dog tries to pull away from you it will turn the dog around to face you. So if the dog walks nice and doesn't pull, he will be able to walk forward. Anyone familiar with it, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Our Blessings R Many Donating Member | Me too aquinn, I really wanted one made top quality and these are the best I have ever seen. The safety feature with double d rings are great. Chattiesmom does a superb job at making these harness's and her price is much less than any I had ever bought from the stores. Was glad she is still making them. |
