| Resale Puppy Stuff? I just got a little chi/yorkie mix girl... She's nearly 8 weeks old and I rescued her before someone took her to the pound yesterday. She was suppose to be bought as a Christmas present but had "accidents" at the families house she was staying at before she was given as a gift. All I did was sigh and wrap her little body in my coat after she was handed to me and go home. She gets really cold and shivery because she's so tiny. She weighs about 27oz. Does anyone have any clothes that may fit her that they aren't using anymore or any puppy stuff that they aren't using now? Thank you. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas. |

| Hi, Don't have anything near that tiny. How's the little one doing? I'd like to hear all about her. In a pinch, you can take some knee socks you don't want and cut off the foot area. Use the leg part. Whack some holes for the legs and cut out the tummy area enough so she can go potty. You could do this with a tiny child's sweatshirt, too. Just use the sleeve. Gotta keep that little one warm!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | What a great idea on the sock !! Good luck - I sure don't have anything that small either but if I did I would send you something - That was really nice of you to take that baby - They were going to take her to the Pound ? over a little bit of pee ? What on earth is wrong with people ? I hope you told them no more animals for them unless maybe a stuffed animal...sorry - hope it's not family or anything but that's pretty cold blooded to take a dog ...then not even try to train it...get frustrated and send it to the pound especially when it's still such a baby !! how very sad. are you going to keep her ? Whatever you decide ...that was nice of you to save her |

| I can use some of my fiance's wooly socks.. He won't mind! On Monday, I'll go to Good Will and buy some fluffy socks. I'm going to take her to the vet either Tuesday or Monday if they have an opening. I plan on keeping her and hopefully she'll be alright. I mixed a little bit of honey in with her water to try and make sure she doesnt get hypoglecimia.. I'm sure she has been through a lot in her tiny life. They didn't tell me where she came from (although around here, I have an inkling!) and she has no shots yet.. Poor thing.. I didn't know they were taking anything in because she was all wrapped up in a blankey and I saw something moving. I asked them kindly what kind of puppy they had and they said a chi/yorkie mix, but they wanted to turn it in for peeing and pooing on the floors. They said they thought she would "make mess" on the old newspapers they had and when she wasn't, they gave up and couldn't deal with it. I told them the consequences of buying for "special occassions" and advised them not to get another puppy if they didn't want to housebreak. Mind you, I'm the type of person that loves getting little furries for special occassions, but I make that special someone very aware of what I want, when a good time is, and I could never shove my babies off. I got my last chihuahua (RIP 11/21/04-7/04/05) for Valentines Day and I loved her to pieces! She was my pride and joy and always travelled with me. But again, not knowing where my fiance got her from (I think Puppy Mill but was more like a BYB), she ended up having cancerous tumors which we were told were lumps from her "shots". Only to find out she never had any.. Sorry for blabbing.. But I'll take your advice and get those socks right now! |

| If you make it to Goodwill, you might look for any tiny baby sweatshirts, too. You can cut off the sleeves and use the cuff around the neck and just cut holes for her little legs. I can't wait to hear how she does. I hope she'll be OK.
