| Dog Hair Clean-Up...What works? Does This? http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=3635648 I desperately need something like this for when the big dogs sleep inside (which they have all this past week). Labs....boy, do they shed! Anyway, has anyone tried this? Did it REALLY work??? It seems cheap enough to try, but thought I would get some ideas first. (hoping someone has tried it) I have bought some things (like the one below) and they DIDN'T work. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=3635221 We also use those roller sticky things...but boy, do we go through them.

| Oh Lenora!!! Don't shave poor Austin!! Ha,Ha But I feel your pain! Thanks for the input! Shoot...I was sooo hoping this was the "miracle" product I was looking for! We have even tried the DeShedding Tool ($75) and the shampoo and treats that go along with it......(aurgh)

| Put him on ShedStop. Then before bringing him in for the night, brush him really well. I think just vacuuming is enough. There are way too many "gimmic's" on the market........as always. |

| That's it...that is what I spent $75 on (for the largest one they had) - they had three sizes! It is just like any other de-shedding brush (or IMO anyway). I was sooo upset....it did get lots of hair off, but I think you just have to keep using it all the time....I just can't find the time to do all three big dogs like they probably need to be done with that thing. I got the shampoo and the treats too from that brand......I bought mine at PetsMart when it first came out....now, they carry the complete line in PetEdge. --probably a lot cheaper?!

It gets old....we put up the couch cushions (so they won't get on them), every morning, we have to pick up and shake out their pillow bed and quilt and sweep/vacuum!! EVERY MORNING when they are in!! We do have wood floor....so it is very noticable if there is any hair...we have a black and a yellow lab and then the german shepard...so a variety of hair....YUCK!!!

| My friend who has a lab just uses a damp sponge - the type you use in the kitchen with the yellow sponge and the green scrub side. She just wet's one rings it out and starts to wipe the sofa and the hair comes off. She has to rinse the hair off often but it seems to work like a charm - plus it's cheap! Good luck!

| i've heard that a rubber kitchen glove works the best!!! you know, the kind you do dishes with. we saw it on tv and tried it and it REALLY works!!!!!!!!!! another thing is we give brewers yeast to our dogs that shed and it practically stops the shedding. also makes their coats beautiful!! our min pin has always been a dull tan color and shed REALLY bad but with the brewers yeast, his shedding has almost completely stopped and he is a nice vibrant rust color that he is supposed to be.

| We tried the sponge you linked with our cats. It worked, but we had to apply quite a bit of pressure. It would rip and tear the sponge at times.

How do you use the glove? Do you need to have it damp or what? I have those too, so I will definitely try it out! Also, (stupid question)...where can I get brewers yeast? And how much do you give/how often! Thanks!
