| Got Beyond Spoiled... Just wanted to thank all the Yorkie Talkers for the recommendation on the Pixie boots and Kathryn for sending them so quickly! It took Stitch a couple minutes to figure out what was going on, but he eventually started walking and then trotting around in them. I didn't have my camera handy, but he's looking very cute in them. (And the shipping really was pretty darn quick. I ordered them on Tuesday, and they were in my hot little hands in Thursday morning's mail, which is PERFECT because I need them for a trip we're taking early next week.) |

| Huh? I also ordered the Pixie boots a couple of months ago. It took Buddy a couple of days to get used to them; He walked like he had cement shoes on. But outside he walked fine. Here;s three reason's for wearing boots: 1. To prevent their pads from getting chapped in the snow and ice. 2. To prevent their pads from being burned from the de-icer that is put down in the walking area's where I live. 3. To prevent their pads from being burned from the salt that is put down in the roads. I hope that explains why dogs wear boots. Last edited by admin; 03-23-2007 at 09:03 AM. |

| My brown Yorkies I just want to update you all on Milo, my brown Yorkie. A while ago I had a lot of reactions about Milo. Milo is almost 10 months old and weighs 2lb 64oz. He is gorgeous. He has a lovely personality. His eyes are green, nose and lips and paws (under) are brown. He has silky hair. I also bought a brown female which is a little darker but she will be more silver when grown out. I will also post a photo of her. I know the photos are not great but it is very difficult to take pictures of lively little doggies. My 'collection' is 30 currently with 5 more on the way. I also have 3 females pregnant. I had 9 females in season but had only 3 with males to mate. I have a few very special Yorkies. My males are all very small and the same size as Milo. |

| Lilly This is Lilly, another special Yorkie. I think her color is very special. Here is also a photo of the Mommy with her 5 babies - 3 brown and 2 black. The little male on the pillow is Benji, also a 2lb male of 10 months. |

| You should start a new thread.. this has nothing to do with the original posters topic - People who are interestd in your topic may miss it too if it's thrown into someone elses thread....

I was just out in Texas and I would love to go back, I had a great time out there! Everywhere I went I met such nice people!

| Shadow was leaping to my defense (THANK YOU!), as another poster (who shall remain nameless, as I guess he/she decided to delete their post soonafter) was accusing me of being cruel to my dog for putting him in shoes. Even though the post is gone, I will say in my defense that I don't generally put Stitch in clothes unless I have a practical reason to. (Mostly because I don't have money to spend on them nor the patience to fuss about with getting him in and out of clothes.) He owns a raincoat and a fleece for bad weather. I got the shoes because my vet has commented that his paws are still showing concrete burns (he was a rescue). We're also going on a long trip where he'll be in the country, and last time he literally stopped walking because he was getting burrs in his paws. It sucks a little to explain myself, especially because I did A LOT of research on Yorkie talk to find the best shoes for him (which I think I did) - but thanks for jumping in there Shadow and Archie too, and thanks for everyone else's replies! | No worries. I think they are a necessity at times. The cement can get quite hot in certain areas. I'm getting Alphy some for next winter. The snow was horrid for him.

| Tell me about it! I just try to ignore those RUDE people and avoid their threads (if they create new ones). If they want to be nasty and rude to our members, then I won't give them a minute of my time.

| They are not all so much rude as they are off the wall, if you know what I mean. Makes you wonder.
