| Car Seat with Harness Question... We are going to buy a car seat for our furbaby, Taylor. I have read many posts about different brands and types that have been very helpful. My question is... can you use the harness that your baby normally wears to secure them in the car seat. That seems so much easier than putting on a special harness that comes with the car seat and may not fit as well...then having to switch when you arrive where you are going. If so what brands can this be done with... Thanks, Gayle_T ...."Taylor's Mom" |

| I have the lookout. Lola wears her regular harness and there is a leash type thing that attaches to the seat belt and her harness. I don't know if they are all like this though. I would highly recommend this carseat though.

| we use our regular harness. we have the lookout carseat and love it. it saved romeo's life in a bad car accident. he had on a cloak and dawggie harness in a high speed car accident that totalled our car. when i unhooked him he was fine and started jumping around the car. |

| I have the Lookout Console car seat. Be cautious when you use the term "lookout" cause there are several brands that sell a "lookout" model that are VERY different from each other. I don't know of a car seat that comes with a harness - just the tether that attaches to your dog's harness. I use the harness vests for Sissy and they work great in the car seat.

| Hi- I have a fidorido car seat. It has four latches on it and mine don't need a special harness. All of mine wear regular harnesses and they hook up to the car seat just fine. I think the fidorido is safer than the lookout one. their website is www.fidorido.com. check it out if ya want. |

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | The only thing I'd be careful of is to make sure you have a harness that clips on rather than Velcros. I wouldn't trust Velcro to hold in an accident. Of course, I've never tested it, so if there are any Velcro harness fans, I'm no expert.
