| is your car seat washable? i've read lots of posts here about car seats vs. carriers and car safety. which products are washable? right now i've got tucker in his crate in the back seat. if i get a car seat, i want to keep him in the back, so that narrows my options some b/c there are no headreasts or a center console in the back seat. anyway, tucker has been getting carsick lately. the crate is easy to clean out and i can throw his blanket and such in the wash when we get where we're going. i've been looking at car seats online, but they don't all look washable (or big enough to get sick in ) can anyone help me out here? | My console lookout car seat is washable. However, it is no fun to take them off so I have never washed it. I knew from the start I won't be doing it so there is always a blanket over it to protect it from dirt/food/soiling. Of course, NON of my babies ever messes up in there so it is a good thing. When I took Nika for the first time to Seattle 2 weeks ago, I wrapped the seat with plastic cover, then put her favorite blanket. She was throwing up the night before so I just wanted to make sure it is well protected just in case. She was fine the entire trip . . . . |

| We have this one: http://www.homedepot.com/prel80/HDUS....jsp?pn=169134 It is washable, but it looks like it would be hard to put back on. It would be quite easy to line with a blanket or even sew a cover for. It can either sit high or you can use the top half and set it right on the seat. I like that the front is mesh (plastic) so that I can SEE loki and he can see out. Loki is 9-10 pounds - I can send you a pic of him sitting in it if you want to see how big it is. He curls up in a ball and sleep in it or sits and looks out the window.

| No you put the seat belt through the loops in the back of the seat (kind of like kids booster seats). It's in the back of our SUV in the middle.
