| Shampoo and Conditioner I've used my own shampoo and a baby shampoo on Zoie and both do fine. I just wonder if using an actual dog shampoo would help with the doggie smell anymore. I've been bathing her between 1-2 times a week and rinse very well so she doesn't get itchy. She doesnt scratch much and doesn't flake, so I don't worry about drying her out. I do read the reviews you guys give about CC and Plush Puppy and just want some advise on what might work better, if anything on the doggie smell...I don't want a minty smell or something that smells like perfume such as some of the groomer's colognes available. I've thought about the Plush puppy spray someone mentioned too and just adding that to her routine. But, if I don't like the smell, it's money wasted......... |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | The CC Systems has hardly any smell to it...it's very faint...it's kind of nutty and fresh smelling but faint. the Plush Puppy Sea Breeze Oil I mentioned has a strong smell - I like it personally....(I haven't tried their shampoo) IF you don't want any fragerance - then you probably don't want the PP Products.... |

| DO want fragrance I guess I should have said.......I would like fragrance...I just used a watermelon baby shampoo on her today (which worked very well, it was a suave brand 2-in1 that made her feel silky afterwards and she combed out pretty easy too) and have been using any shampoo that smells good to try to cut the smell. She doesn't "stink" just smells like a dog. And since I haven't had a dog in several years, I smell it much faster than I used to. :-) So, I want a fragranced shampoo that lasts longer than one day...if anything matches that, I'm interested in knowing about it LOL. Maybe I'll try the Seabreeze with just plain shampoo. What does Seabreeze smell like? Also, if anyone knows what the CC stuff smells like, let me know. I'm a BIG smells person. I burn candles all the time, etc. LOL :-) Thanks everyone, I know this is silly to some people, but it matters to me for some reason :-) |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I posted what it smells like in the 1st sentance of my last post....and can't describe the Sea Breeze oil...it's kind of more macho than girly. The Sea Breeze Oil is a Coat Enhancer - not something you use in the bath..its for after a bath....or day to day grooming - you may want to start off with just a good shampoo and conditioner.... |

| Petsilk!!!! It's wonderful and keeps the doggie butts smelling good and fruity for days I think the grape ones are the strongest smelling, but they're all great.

| I use Crazy dog Baby dog shampoo. I got it from petco. Then I mist her with the same name mist after drying her. It smells like baby powder and the scent last a week. I love it. since she is still a baby, and her hair is still short, I don't use a conditioner. |

| You know what I have been doing..? Well this may sound funny but I love to smell my Lucy's hair all the time especially right after a bath and so I might be alittle freaky but I've been using my shampoos on her then my shine serum (ha ha) then I dab 1 drop of perfume oil ( like australian rose-which is not too strong or old smelling)or maybe your favorite scent and that seems to make her smell fresh for a while. I think though it has to be a perfume OIL though. You can try it ?? Might work for you or not? |
