| Putting clothes on your pup Ok, is there a special way to put clothes on your baby? I swear Cordelia gives me the hardest time putting a shirt on her. She starts to bite me and then she will start chewing on the clothes while I’m trying to get it over her head. Is there a special technique or something? I want her to wear the clothes I bought her, but I feel like a mean mommy when I start to dress her.

| I go through the same thing with Frankie. If we do it quickly, we can get it on easily (I enlist the help of Frankie's daddy). I think I'm going to try giving him a treat to occupy him. |

| If I sit Tia on the couch, then get down on the floor, it seems to work better for me. She wiggles a lot too and the best way is with two people, quickly as possible.

| I'm too scared, also! I was always wondering how you guys stuck their legs into sweaters and what not. Fred always tries to get out of it when I put it over his head and I'm too scared to pull his leg through because of his fragile little bones. His legs always get stuck somewhere because he tries to run out. I gave up after the third try! I'm toooo scared. Do you guys put the head in, left leg and then right leg? |

| Yeah, I do the head first, then she just kinda realizes that she's getting her clothes on, so she better just get used to it! Funny thing is, Sandy could care less, she seems to love getting dressed up

| Gypsy Rose is very good about it - I don't dress her often so it isn't as if she is used to it but I pull it oveer her head then first one leg then the other and she kinda helps me as a child would! My little Gizzie is still learning but it doesn't bother her! |

| Sorry-- I am getting such a kick out of just trying to picture you all putting their clothes on. Luigi must actually like getting his clothes on. He just sits there and puts one paw up at a time. I must be sooo lucky!!! But the one thing he gives me hard time on is putting a bow in his hair. He tries to bury his head. But loves to be brushed, just no topnot. Mandy & Luigi |

| I'm so lucky with Cairo, she just sits there all nicely for dressing, bathing brushing and topnots. She even takes a nap while I blowdry her. My husbands minpin is a nut case though. It used to take two of us to put his harness and sweaters on . We have learned to only use sweaters that have velcro closures on the front (no putting it over the head) and step in harnesses. This has made life much more pleasant. I still make sure to rub it in how great Cairo is every time we're getting ready for an outing

| I'm jealous, I wish my Beau had the temperament some of your babies do. I can't even looking or act like I'm going to pull something over his head or put something on his back, he freaks. This weekend however, even if it takes two of us, he will be getting his harness vest put on so he can take a ride in his new car seat. |

| Coco bites my hands, and her clothes when I try to put them on. I try to put them on when she's napping, so she'll wake up in them. I don't know, it's not really working. She doesn't even like bows in her hair either. Those I have to put in, when she's asleep. It's hard on me, because I'm such a girlie girl, and I want her to be one too. Oh well. I'm not going to force it. It's bad enough she hates wearing a collar. At least I have a pink collar for her.

| Stewie lunges at the shirt and sticks his head in himself and then I just put him on his back and put his arms in. He bites them for maybe a minute and then forgets that they're on. His clothes are all comfy cotton t-shirts, so I think that plays a big part into the "fight" level.
