| Has anyone used a filtered drinking fountain? I am in the process of buying a filtered doggie fountain for little Mojo....has anyone used one and if so, did you like it and where did you get it & what was the price. I found on in the G.W. Little catalog it is $79!!! and $8 for a 3-pack of replacement filters. (www.gwlittle.com) Thanks in advance!

| Yes. I have the one made by PetMate. I like it a lot. The cats will ONLY drink from running water, and this is the only "bowl" they'll drink from... My only other option is turning the faucet on and off a hundred times a day! Whenever Pixie is running free in the house (she's penned in one area while we're at work), she drinks out of the fountain instead of her water dish.... Just be sure to clean it out really well, it can get a little yucky in any corners/edges. It's nice though, it filters out any junk that may get in the water (hair, food particles, whatever). I don't know about your pup, but Pixie somehow gets her water bowl all yucky by the end of each day. That doesn't happen with the fountain.... I probably dump all the water out and clean it once a week or so. Fosters & Smith sell one similar to the one you're describing.... It's on sale right now for $34.99!!! http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produc...pc=1&N=0&Nty=1 This is the one I have... http://www.petsmart.com/global/produ...=1137808137952 Petsmart has it listed for $19.99. I don't know how the Petmate one compares to the Drinkwell model, but I don't have any complaints about it, and the price is right! |
