| Pet water fountains As the title suggests...pet water fountains- do you have one? Thinking of having one? Ceramic or stainless steel? Difficult to wash or easy to disassemble and throw in your dishwasher? Has it lasted or did your seal pop off and you can't find the right replacement size and it is now sitting on your corner covered in dust? Any brand in particular that you would reccomend or were eyeing? Can't wait to hear your feedback thanks!

| Here's another thread on fountains. Maybe some info here will help you. I've never had one myself. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...ins-worth.html

| I bought several of these....thought they sounded like a really great thing....the babies were not as impressed as I was, and they were difficult to clean. I bought stainless steel... |

| I'm so funny. If its not dishwasher safe/friendly then I probably wouldn't buy it. I've never had one and the link provided seems like others aren't too keen on the cool idea of a pet fountain. I use stainless steel bowls and put ice cubes in the water. The water actually stays cool throughout the day even though its still.

| For the first 5 years of Callie's life I was using one and tried many different brands and they were all hard to clean and a pain. I had several where the motors stopped working and my dad took one apart and there was black slim in it ugh it was so gross. When we moved I was just using a water bowl until I unpacked the fountain but she actually drank and liked just the bowl better I also can clean that every day without issues.

| Chloe drinks so little that I don't need a fountain because she never finishes a full bowl of water, lol. I change the water every day, though. The fountains look really nice, if Lilah drinks a lot. You can also try those little water bottle connecters that Jenny sells: toplinepet.com

| Thank you all for your feedback, actually lilah doesn't drink a lot. She has a self dispensing one but I always dump and refresh regularly. I thought it might encourage more drinking and it is pretty and sounds nice it sounded like the one I was looking at was pretty dishwasher easy but I have heard some horror stories! Lol
