| Swim vest Anyone have a recommendation for a swim vest for a 5.6 lb little guy. He can swim without it but I rather have one on him when we're on the boat.

| I got a cute one from petsmart, it works well. A little heavy for my baby since he's so tiny.

Some additional recommendations that YT swimmers gave me: Ruffwear -- lightweight and allows maximum mobility, although pricey (Brit likes this for Jackson, and P-Nut's mom just bought this one): K-9 Float Coat Dog Life Jacket by RuffWear - Red Currant at Baxterboo Micro Doggy -- Brit likes that there is no velcro on the bottom: Dog Life Preservers | EzyDog Micro Doggy Floatation Device Maggie and Buster are avid swimmers and use these --their mom had this to say: "Outward Hound from PetsMart and Paws Aboard. The Outward Hound is a little bulky but it has the flap under the chin that helps to hold the face out of the water."

| Huey has a couple of the outward hound vests from petsmart. When he was a little pup, the xs was perfect, andnow that he is 7.5 lbs, the small is the correct size. The strap around the body is very wide and supports the entire length of the dog, not just the head. I also like the handle on the back with which the dog can be quickly lifted away from any danger. He was 6 months old here and less than 5 lbs, I think.
