| SOS - need a harness I am currently using the silk harness that chattiesmom makes. I keep it on him all the time cause I have to take him out to potty outside on a leash and I love that it's soft and comfortable and doesn't give him any mats. Anyways, I need another harness but chattiesmom seems to be not making it these days, I think she had an accident of some kind. So I am on the look for an alternative. I've read good things about puppia and buddy belt but I'm afraid they might cause mats or are uncomfortable. (keep in mind, I need a harness that I can just keep on him at all times). Does anyone have a good recommendation for me? Thanks so much! |

| Well, I can say Puppia is really comfortable. Well, as far as I can tell. I've left it on Jackson all day sometimes and it's never bothered him at all. My friend's two yorkies often have theirs on all day too. I may purchase a Buddy Belt again in the future (I returned mine lol) but I couldn't see myself leaving it on all day.... it seemed a bit too bulky for it to be really comfortable. However the quality of the harness is amazing! But yeah, comfort-wise, Puppia is what I've found to be the best.

| The silk and BB harnesses are what I put on my girls, but the BB isn't one I'd leave on. They do have a larger buckle and wider than the silk step in from Cindy. I wish I could help you out since I have 9 silk ones, but mine are in different shades pink with crystals and 3 silver grey with crystals and black for my black and white Papillon. I got a red one and a beautiful bright blue one for a friend who has two Maltese boys and they were such a beautiful color. Maybe someone on here has a spare you could buy?

| The harness that I use for Nilla is a Gooby one. They have hoodies for fall too (I already have a pink one)! It doesn't seem to bother her, and they are lightweight. The only thing is that it has suede on the harness that has stretched a little bit, and have you ever tried to keep anything suede clean, let alone with a puppy? Ha ha. I think it's pretty comfortable for her, but I haven't tried the other brands. I've only heard good things about Puppia. If you're interested in the Gooby one, here's the link: Gooby Fashion She's never whined or yelped with it on, or coughed like it was pulling on her, and she does like to fight me when I try to walk her at times, lol. Nilla is a diva if I've ever seen one. She wears XS, but her head is kind of big apparently so sometimes it's a bit of a squeeze, but it's still kind of loose on her body. I got her a S in the hoodie and it seemed to fit her. I figure she's going to be growing anyway.

| I use the Puppia step in vest harness for Gracie. She has a long coat and I don't think it would be good to leave it on her with all that fur. When I put it on her it kind of messes up her fur. I think a Yorkie with short hair would do fine with it though. We have her outside walk times down to a regular schedule so I don't need to leave her harness on her. Her harness is very easy to get on her and takes only a few seconds. I wanted the silk harness that Chattiesmom makes but she had to have surgery before I could get one. Hope she gets well soon. |

| I favor Puppia for Rocco. It is very well made and very comfortable, no bulk. Rocco does have short hair.

| Harness I looked all over for a soft but sturdy harness. I found a really good solid mesh one called 'Doggie Design' that I do leave on all day (as it is easier to catch him if he is being difficult and will not let me put necessary drops in his eyes!!) He loves it and it does not hurt his trachea. It has worn very well and is very easy to put on and adjust. I believe you can only get it from retail stores and I use the 'Pets Plus' chain. I thought it was better than the (similar) 'Puppia' design. Good Luck. |

| Your boy is the most handsome fellow and his size is perfect in my opinion. I don't know how big the op's Yorkie is, do you?

| Harness That is the one you refer to in the link. The Red Ultra Choke Free Harness. It really is choke free and so comfortable and breathes. My dog is 9.75 pounds and I have the Small, Blue one. It does adjust to some extent but when I tried them on my dog, there only seemed one size that was the right fit. |

| Thanks for your suggestions. I will check them out over the weekend and hopefully find something. @britster, thanks for your offer but our yorkie is 3.6 lbs so I don't think it will work. |

| @Yorkiedaze, would you be open to selling one of your non-pink silk harnesses to me if you have one is a small size? I don't mind the crystals, actually like them. Our yorkie is 3.6 lbs. I just really need one more for the time being so that I can wash one while the other is being used. Let me know. Thanks! |
