| Shampoo and conditioner Hi everyone! I was wanting to get some feedback as to which brands / type of shampoo and conditioner is best for yorkie hair. My yorkie is cut into a puppy cut and don't really plan on letting his hair grow too long, so the absolutely best for silky hair isn't a big deal. I am using a type of baby shampoo on him now and it seems to work ok. Does anyone have a suggestion on a type or brand that is good just to keep their hair and skin healthy? Thanks! |

| Some people like baby shampoo, but others, including myself, believe it is very drying, especially for a dog. Espree makes great products that are sold at Petco. I also like the SPA line sold at Petco. We have been using the SPA facial cleanser because it is gentle on the eyes. My favorite products, I order online: Biogroom, Petsilk, Tommy Tomlyn, Chris Christensen, Vellus, Isle of Dogs. If your dog has a puppy cut, the products will last a long time.

| Awesome , thanks! I will have to look into those brands. I agree the baby shampoo is somewhat drying. I've noticed his hair has become slightly drier. Thanks again for the suggestions |

| I really like Espree The Silky Show shampoo & Silky Show conditioner match perfectly together and make Lilo's hair really smooth and shiny.

| I love Bio-Groom, Yorkie Splash and Shine, and lately I've been using Chris Christensen and really like that one too. I especially like the Ice on Ice detangler from Chris Christensen.

| I use Mink Sheen and it smells so good and makes Izzy's hair so manageable and she has thin hair!

| Love, love, love yorkie splash and shine! Maisie smells so good and is so soft for days after I wash her. And the spray for the in-between days is great too. Reminds me, I need to order more conditioner! |

| I used Yorkie Splash and Shine, then switched to Nooties. Then recently switched back to Yorkie Splash and Shine. They both smell pretty nice, but the Splash and Shine smell seems to last longer (a whole week) so that gets my vote. Also, the shampoo used to be really watery making it hard to work with, but I was pleasantly surprised at my most recent order, she thickened the formula so it's consistency is just like regular shampoo. Much better! |
