| New Favorite Collar Place! I recently found this website and really love the collars- I ordered one and was amazed with the quality so I just placed another order. Here is the site: Crazy for Collars Home Page The Collars are so adorable and really cheap too! Until Tuesday there is a sale going on- enter code "newweb" at checkout for 20% off. This is not a YT seller, just someone I found on etsy.

| I really wish they had break-away collars! I don't put any regular collars on my dogs. That zebra and hot pink collar is the prettiest one I have EVER seen! If it was a breakaway it would be on Annie as quick as the Postal System could comply. I LOVE IT! They are all gorgoeus! They even have a Clearance section! I emailed her and asked if she would consider offering breakaways. After having a dog with Collapsed Trachea (she had it when I got her -- they told me it was just reverse sneezing), I just can't see risking regular collars. But many use them the whole life of their yorkies without a problem. I'll be waiting to see if she answers my email. Hoping she will offer the breakaways on her designs!

If she can't, have you looked at etsy?! Omg, so many amazing collar makers and many of them have breakaways. Thankfully for my wallet, none of the collars caught my eye for Jackson. But they are VERY cute!

| It was harder to find boy designs- I had tons of choices for Chloe. But I ended up going with this one for Armani: Sparkle Clover Collar

| Thank you for posting! Also, I searched for them on Etsy to see if their Etsy shop had more selection than the website, and they do, so if you're interested in them it's worth it to do a 'Crazy for Collars' search there -- they sell extra bows and all. ^^ I can't decide on one, lol! I love the zebra and mint dippin' I believe the best. Wait, oh no! They have little dinosaurs on one too! Ohhh, I'll never decide, ha ha! | Ahhh! Love, love, love! I ordered a collar for my baby who's coming home soon (hopefully)! It's so cute, I'm very pleased with her work, and her communication was top notch! Not to mention how fast she shipped it out to me. Take a look!

Here over in iceland you can not get a break-away collar for a dog, only a cat collar and nothing more who breaks if pulled, dogs here just use regular collars but the yorkies here are full of health, no proplems in the breed at all, I know all the breeders here but no one has gone through that theyr dog had a collapsed trachea just wondering about this, i think this has nothing to do with what kind of collar you use. Sorry my english is bad.

Breakaways are safer/easier on their throats than normal collars. If they ever got their collars caught on something (e.g. brush, a crate, a fence, a wire, etc.), the breakaway would just snap open instead of the collar getting caught, the dog struggling, and causing a collapsed trachea from trauma. I hope this helps! I thought your English was very good! | |
